The Attack The moonlight shone brightly that night making it possible to read without a flashlight. If anyone had bothered to look up they would have seen that a someone or something was taking advantage of the moonlight for just that purpose. Goliath was sitting alone on top of a building. He wasn't paying attention to the book that he was reading. Instead he was thinking about his trip from Avalon and about finally making it home. In the middle of his pondering, he heard a noise. He whipped his head around just in enough time to see a Steel Clan robot flying straight toward him. He dodged the robot and quickly attacked it as it was retreating away from the building. Goliath jumped off the building and soared in pursuit. When he reached the robot he grabbed onto its back and tried to rip off its back panel. The robot began to fly frantically; trying to shake him off. Finally Goliath had to let go and glided back to the roof of the building. When the robot had sensed that Goliath had let go it tried to fly away but Goliath was too quick for it. He jumped off of the building and soared after it. The robot turned around and started firing. Goliath swooped and soared, dodging each shot. When he was only a few feet away, the robot began to retreat again. But Goliath raced after it diligently. Just when Goliath was close enough to grab the robot it plunged down toward a rooftop of another building. Goliath plummeted downward chasing it. About a thousand feet above the rooftop, Goliath grabbed the robot and quickly managed to pull off the back panel and ripped out the wiring. The robot then quickly lost control and crashed onto the rooftop. Goliath then swooped down to survey the wreckage. When he got a closer look, he saw that the robot had retained some damage from its fall. Its wings had been ripped to shreds. Its arms and legs were mangled but, surprisingly the head and torso had survived with only a few dents. After inspecting it more closely, Goliath saw that the robot was not an ordinary Steel Clan Robot. It was, in fact, Xanatos' body-armor. Goliath took off the head of the body-armor carefully but as soon as it was off he gasped with total shock. There was no one in the body-armor! Just as Goliath was turning to leave, he heard someone's voice coming from the body-armor. "Narf! That was fun Brain! Can we do it again?" A second voice answered the first, "Quiet, Pinky!" A long skinny white lab rat, with a very goofy look on its face, fell out of the armor. "But Brain that was a better ride than the Great American Upchuck Machine at Six Flags Over Flushing*." A smaller white lab rat, with a big head, walked out of the suit and smacked the other rat in the back of the head. Goliath stared at this scene unmoving. He was totally confused. He did not know what to do about this situation, so he just stood there. The smaller rat looked at Goliath, shook his head, and started to walk away. He then turned around and addressed the other mouse, "Come Pinky. We have much to do before tomorrow night!" Pinky, hurrying to catch up to the other mouse, asked him, "Why what are we going to do tomorrow night, Brain?" With a look of disgust Brain answered, "The same thing we do every night, Pinky, try to take over the world!" *In the episode where the Warners went to hell and met Satan, they were looking for Six Flags Over Flushing. only a truly banal Animaniacs fan who has no life, such as myself, would remember this joke. I do not have the rights to any of the characters of Gargoyles or Pinky and the Brain but this is just for fun so DON'T SUE ME PLEASE! I would love to get some E-Mail about this, so someone please send me some even if you want to flame me for this please do. I like feedback. The reason why this is at the end is if I put in the beginning then the surprise ending would be ruined.
