Achilles' Heel

Fade in on Pinky & The Brain opening sequence
Fade to Pinky, Brain in their cage in the Eyrie Pyramid.  Scattered 
about are computer monitors, a hoverchair, disks, etc.  Room is 
brightly lit.

Pinky
(pacing) It's been *years* since we got stuck here!  Poit, Brain, 
aren't you ever gonna get us out?

Brain
Quiet, Pinky.  We've been here two nights.

Pinky
Narf.

Brain
Whatever.  And in those two nights, I've discovered what must be 
the Achilles' Heel of this place.

Pinky
The back of the foot!

Brain
Yes, Pinky, the back of the foot.  And what do you suppose my 
plan is?

Pinky
Tie the shoelaces together!

Brain
Pinky, I'm starting to think you left your brain behind in the lab the 
other night.

Pinky
But Brain, you're right here.

Brain
Sometimes, Pinky, I wonder if I'd be more successful if I worked 
alone.  The weakness of this place is computers.  The Xanatos 
program, the Pyramid, even Lexington are dependant on 
computers.  And they're all connected.

Pinky
But Brain, your last plan using computers failed.  Why should
 this--

Brain
Because this time I know what I'm up against.

Pinky
Zounds, Brain, it just might work.  Um, but how are we gonna get 
out of this cage?

Brain
Simple.  The lock is child's play to open.  All I need is a paperclip.

The hoverchair nearby moves closer; EviLex sits forward.

EviLex
(sarcastic) Great plan, Brain.  But...

Brain
But?

EviLex
But you've just been undone by it.

Brain
What do you mean?

EviLex
If the entire Pyramid relies on computers, why would there be any 
paperclips in it?

Brain
Rats.

Pinky
Mice, actually.

Brain
Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Pinky
I think so, Brain, but if we were gargoyles and he was a mouse, 
what would be the point?

Brain
(fumes a moment) Never mind.  (sits in corner)

EviLex
I should found a research facility just as a use for you two.  (jumps 
out of hoverchair) I'd send you back to your former lab, but I had 
them all destroyed.  In case there were any others like you two.

Brain
(glares at EviLex) If I had a paperclip...

EviLex
But you don't.  And good luck finding one.  (leaves)

Pinky
Narf, Brain.  I guess we *won't* be getting out of here tonight.

Brain
Quiet, Pinky.  I must plan for tomorrow night.

Pinky
Why, Brain?  What we gonna do tomorrow night?

Brain
Same thing we'll do every night, Pinky.  (sighs) Try to find a 
paperclip.
