Author's Note: A common theme I like to write about, apparent in all the gargoyles fanfics I write about, is Alteration. Alteration is the changing of something to another form or another feature. In "A Small Wish", we saw the entire clan and Demona change sizes due to Demona's spell. In "Trading Places", we saw Demona and Goliath switch bodies. I could tell you what Alteration is done here, but then that would give away the story of this fanfic! The central theme is similar to "Trading Places" but the magic is done in a different way. If you've read my descriptions of my fanfics, you'll know Puck is involved. The reason I had Xanatos and Owen on Business trips is because I'm not very good at writing the smart attitude of Xanatos and the subtle Owen. I'm going to try here, so just to let you know beforehand that these characters will be in here. The whole clan is included, along with Eliza. I even got a Latin/English Dictionary for the spell casting! So sit back, grab some munchies, get your reading glasses on, and enjoy. It helps if you have read A French Exodus to understand the reference to it early on.

Castle Wyvern, perched upon the top of the Eyrie Building, was ,as usual, silent. The time was around noon, and nothing was happening on the old castle. Of course, this was usual. The activity that usually happens on this castle happens from dusk til' dawn. But, a whirring sound breaks the calm silence that covered the castle. This sound came from the whirring motor of a helicopter that was fast approaching the building. It's frame was sleek, and was black and red. It has three occupants in it, one David Xanatos, one Fox Xanatos, and one Owen Burnnet. The helicopter made it's way to the top, extending it's landing gear from the bottom of the craft. Then, it landed, and the motor died.

Out of the cockpit came the multi-billionaire known of David Xanatos. He was owner of many industries around the world, and was both famous and infamous for his deeds in the time since he gained his wealth. Next to him, was Fox Xanatos, former leader of the Pack, a popular kids TV show super-hero group turned criminals, and wife to David Xanatos. From the back came Owen Burnnet, a calm collective business man with a straight, placid face, perfect for any poker game. "Well, we're home," said David as he looked around at his property.

The couple and their aide had taken a trip down to the Miami area, where problems had come up regarding a person named Tim Daniels who had caused trouble in the area. Of recent, David Xanatos and Tim have become friends regarding a matter known only to the public through a group of people called the Quarryman and rumors that are always present in the large city of New York. Having settled this problem, the Xanatos's now came back to their home to see how it's occupants had handled it alone.

Apparently, they had done a fine job. As Xanatos observed the outside perimeter of the castle and all of it's insides, he found it as clean as he had left. Probably, no trouble had come while he was away. Of course, there was always trouble, but the occupants must have taken care of it without making a mess.

Xanatos looked at several stone statue gargoyles perched on top of the highest parapet of the castle. All present and accounted for. He smiled, and headed down to his bedroom to unpack, along with his wife. Owen took this time to settle more business affairs that always presented themselves.

Of course, the occupants of this castle that Xanatos we're thinking about aren't some freeloading party crashers, to think that they would cause trouble and make a mess. Nor are they dignified business men whom Xanatos met with regularly. No, for it is the stone statue gargoyles perched on top of Castle Wyvern's highest parapet that are the guests. Confused, are you? Well, let us cut to the end of the day....

Dusk was fast approaching, and the Xanatos's had just settled down for dinner. As always, it was an excellent feast, as Owen being the main server and butler throughout. After a quick meal, they both headed up to the parapet where the gargoyles were perched. The sun was about to set, and they were prepared for a grand show. On the way up, they met a person that was allowed to visit, Eliza Maza. Both parties exchanged greetings, and looked towards the statues as darkness swept the land from the setting sun.

Nothing happened at first. Then, a small cracking could be heard. Soon, it was a large cracking sound, accompanied by more sounds from the other statues. Notable cracks could be seen in the gargoyles. Any other person would assume that these statues were suddenly crumbling. But to these three observers, they knew that there was a living, breathing creature under that skin, as these creatures burst free from a day of stone sleep, and gave a mighty roar.

The gargoyles had come to life.

Everything was casual after this. Eliza walked up to the large, lavender gargoyle, whose name was Goliath. The other gargoyles that were in this clan came up to the parapet. Brooklyn, a red, horned gargoyle appeared first, with a fat, green skinned gargoyle coming up next named Broadway. Bronx, the blue-grey skinned gargoyle dog ran in on the scene, with another small, lavender gargoyle named Angela in close pursuit. Next came the elder gargoyle Hudson, and finally, the smallest gargoyle among the clan, Lexington.

Owen came in as a discussion began. "Well Goliath, I see your still well," said Xanatos.

Goliath gave a stern reply, "We had a little trouble over the few weeks that you were gone, but everything is back to normal."

Owen broke in. "Excuse me Mr. Xanatos, you have a very important business call from Gen-U-Tech labs."

Xanatos turned to face Owen, a frown on his face. "Oh really? You don't mind me borrowing your cell-phone for this one. I left mine back with my suitcase."

Owen handed Xanatos his cell-phone, already connected to the caller. "Of course Mr. Xanatos."

Xanatos took the call while Owen turned to face the clan of gargoyles. "I'm glad to see you all well. Perhaps Lexington would like to see Alex now?"

Lexington had always liked to see Alex, who was the Xanatos's baby boy. "Of course! Where is he?"

Owen started walking towards the staircase leading down to the main building. "Right this way."

Lexington bounded off after Owen, as Fox turned to face Goliath and Eliza. "You two are going to make a fine couple someday, regardless of the species difference."

This made both Eliza and Goliath smile, and it is very hard to make Goliath smile. "Thank you Fox. I'm sure we will," said Eliza. At this, Goliath picked up Eliza, and they glided off towards some unknown spot for a usual date.

Fox looked at all the other gargoyles. They started to head off towards whatever they wanted to do, some going on patrol, some watching TV, and some reading books. Brooklyn looked to be staring at Angela. Fox knew that Brooklyn had the hots for Angela, but she also knew that Angela and Broadway were lovers. This tore Brooklyn apart. Perhaps he would someday confront Angela on his feelings. She headed back downstairs too with Xanatos as he finished his business call.

Lexington held Alex with much care. Alex and he were very much alike. Alex was the youngest in the Xanatos family, and he was the youngest in the clan. But what made Alex different was that genetically, he knew he was going to be tall. Owen even told him that, which made him feel a little bad. Lexington always had this small wish, which was to be as big and tall as Goliath. This wish surfaced itself a few weeks ago soon after Xanatos left, and he had a rather troubling experience with it. But now, it was once again a small wish he had, which sometimes gave him problems.

Owen raised an eyebrow, noting the time. His voice sounded higher as he said, "Time for your lesson Alexander!" At that, he suddenly whirled around and changed into the fae Puck. Puck was a trickster by heart, and was helping Xanatos for many years as Owen. Having recently been decreed to teach Alex, who contained magical powers, he now can only use those powers to train Alex. He picked up Alex from Lexington and whirled around in the air. Alexander, being confronted with all these wonderful colors and whirling around in the air, giggled and laughed.

Puck wondered. "Now what shall your lesson be today?" Puck innocently looked over at Lexington, who seemed to be thinking to himself.

Puck gleamed and grinned. "You there! Yes, you! Do you see any other short, yellow-green gargoyle on this planet? Step right down! Your going to be today's lucky participant!"

Lexington looked up quickly as Puck waved his hands. All at once, Lex fell to the ground. "Now Alex, today we are going to learn about Mind Reading! Just do like so..."

Puck whirled his hand again and pointed at Lexington, as did Alex. "Catching quick, m'boy," said Puck at Alex's mimicry. Then, he spoke a few words. Alex was impaired in speech, but Puck gave him that ability quickly and Alex spoke the words. Of course, Alex's speech wore off immediately. Soon, both Puck and Alex closed their eyes and were in a deep trance. They had succeeded into looking into Lexington's thoughts.

What they found was simple. They found the confusion of why he was sleeping, the figuring out of some useless, unimportant things, but one thing caught Puck's attention. He saw Lexington bigger than Goliath, and Lexington seemed to be enjoying this. After further delving into his head, he found out why he was enjoying it. Lex had the wish to be bigger. So that is why he seemed distracted of late! He looked onto the subject in Lex's memories and found that Lexington had been granted by Demona, another gargoyle that he had cursed to become human by day. Boy, if she got her hands on him! He couldn't think about the torture she would try and put him through. Having gotten everything he needed. Puck left Lex's thoughts and turned towards Alex after coming out of the trance.

"Well Alex, that's the end of that lesson! Pretty easy, eh? Now, here's something a little harder." Puck started whispering into Alex's ear, then grinned. He revived Lexington, and the gargoyle quickly leaped to life.

"What happened?" Lex said quickly.

"Oh nothing Lexington. We just used you for a little test of Alex's magical abilities. Of course, he passed with flying colors. Now, we have another lesson for him. Just stand right there Lexington."

Lexington was utterly confused. He didn't like magic altogether, but he trusted Puck in this instance.

Puck looked at Alex. "Now watch carefully," he said, and started swirling in the air. "Don't worry about flying Alexander. This is just for show," said Puck with a large grin on his face. He came in front of Lex and started chanting in a language Lex knew to be Latin, but he didn't understand what he was saying.

Puck knew however:

"Contemplari asorbere, primus corpus intueri. Virga corpus et corpus perconvertere insolitus. Fieri primus, cum alter corpus."

Latin Translation:
"Eyes Absorb, first body seen. Switch body and body, through unusual change. Become one, with other body."

Thanks to Alexander's understanding in magic, he knew what Puck was saying. Puck and Alex saw a small aura form around the gargoyle, then cease. Lex quickly closed his eyes for the felt in pain. "It will pass Lexington. Don't ask what we did, but I suggest in order to grant your desires you look at Goliath truthfully," said Puck, than he started twirling as a beeping sound could be heard.

Owen appeared where Puck had been, and was looking at his watch. "I have an appointment with Mr. Xanatos and a client. If you will excuse me..."

Owen left, and Alexander with him. Lexington quickly shook his eyes, and found his vision clearing. What had happened? Only Puck and Alexander knew, so there was no choice but to stick with what he did. Lexington walked back to the commons where everyone was located.

Goliath and Eliza kissed, then headed into where all the others were. Lexington was just walking in, and looked at Goliath. Goliath wondered what the young gargoyle was thinking, but didn't know as he looked away suddenly at Brooklyn and Broadway. They were engaged in yet another contest, this time a game called "Poker". He had no idea what was happening, but he felt a sudden interest to go over and watch.

Lexington walked in and looked at Goliath, then he suddenly felt the pain in his eyes acting up. He looked away, and almost at once the pain ceased. He opened his eyes again to find himself looking at Brooklyn and Broadway. Goliath went away from Eliza and watched the game with interest. Funny, he never knew Goliath to be so curious. Eliza sighed and sat down on the couch. Lexington walked over to the game and watched.

Brooklyn had four cards with spades on them all in order. Another card was red with a heart on it. Lex shifted his position and saw Broadway with 3 cards of the same type. Aces, they were called. "How much do you bet?" asked Brooklyn, a look of confidence on his face.

Lexington peeked over the table, feeling a little uneasiness in his stomach. Broadway bet all his potato chips, which they were using as ante. He glanced over at Goliath. Was it him, or was Goliath a bit pale? His skin was a lighter tone of lavender. He blinked a second, then looked at all the gargoyles sitting. He was standing, and he was taller than them! He was about the same height when it came to them sitting and he standing, but he was higher than them! They didn't seem to notice, as Brooklyn agreed and put his potato chips in. Then, they drew another card. Brooklyn got a Straight Flush, as they called it in Poker, and Broadway got 4 aces. Lexington saw he was getting noticeably taller than them, and sat down. Eliza seemed to have dozed off, sleeping peacefully on the couch, and Goliath was watching curiously. Lexington was staring at Eliza, admiring it. Then, he shook his head. What was he thinking? He and Eliza? No, he couldn't possibly have her. Goliath had her...but he seemed to not take notice of Eliza. Soon, the cards went down, and it was Broadway who tossed down his cards. "A Straight Flush? That doesn't beat 4 Aces!" he cried.

Brooklyn got up, slightly confused. "Ya know what, I don't remember what the rules say about this kind of thing! Draw?" Brooklyn held out his hand, and Broadway quickly shook it. They shared the pile of chips, as Goliath walked over to Eliza. Lexington noticed that he was getting slightly bigger than Brooklyn and Broadway, and crawled around so that he wasn't noticeable. He crawled out the room and headed to the rooftop.

Goliath smiled as he walked over to Eliza, and picked her up. She seemed heavier than before, a strange thing for him. She also seemed less pretty, but she wasn't different. He sighed, and leaped out the window, finding it harder to glide around on his wings. His wings were smaller than he came to know them, but he passed this off as nothing. He saw Eliza awake, and looked into her eyes. He didn't get the same reaction he got when coming to look into such lovely eyes. In fact, he felt like he was losing interest.

He landed on the ground in an alley, and set Eliza down. They were several miles away from the Eyrie Building already, and were supposed to go on a date. Eliza was confused as to why Goliath had stopped. "Goliath, why did you land? I thought we were going much farther than this. And what's wrong with you? You look like you'd rather be elsewhere."

Goliath frowned, for he was hiding in a darker part of the alley. Then, he walked out. Eliza almost screamed. Goliath was much shorter. He also had no hair, and had small wings growing under his arms. He was also making a desperate attempt to adjust his loincloth, for it no longer fit him. It was too big! Eliza walked slowly over to Goliath. She was taller than he was! She must be around 5'10" or something. She looked down at her shoes, remembering she was also wearing high-heeled pumps for their date. She frowned, and looked down at Goliath. He looked like...like...Lexington?

"Goliath! What's going on?" said Eliza quickly.

"I don't know! I just feel weird inside. Like I'm actually changing into Lexington! Maybe we should head back to the Eyrie Building and ask Lexington," said Goliath, now with the voice of Lexington.

Eliza frowned. "It looks like we have to walk. You can hardly carry me now, and there is no taxi in New York that would accept you."

They both set off towards the Eyrie Building, a several hours trip across New York....

Brooklyn peeked into Alex's nursery. He hadn't seen the baby for so long, and wanted to see how he was doing. He found him sleeping in his crib, and peeked over the rails. He could tell the kid was talking in his sleep. Amazing how fast he learned to talk. Alex woke up suddenly, and waved his hand at Brooklyn. Brooklyn grinned and picked him up. Alex was trying to say something...or was he saying something? The voice he was talking in sounded familiar...was that Latin?

Pain shot through Brooklyn's eyes, and he quickly put Alex back in his crib. What was going on? The pain suddenly went away. "Alex, I need to take a break..." said Brooklyn, walking outside the room and heading in an unknown direction.

Angela was reading a book in the library when Brooklyn walked in. She was surprised to see him, for he rarely visited here. Especially when she was around. He was rubbing his eyes, then looked in Angela's direction. He blinked again like he was in pain, then stopped. "Brooklyn, are you all right?" said Angela, putting down her book and walking over to his clan member.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just got this blasted pain in my eyes," said Brooklyn, looking at Angela. He felt different. Almost like something was missing from him. He looked down into his loincloth, and nearly went into shock. He knew what was missing! He was missing the thing that made him male! He looked back up at Angela, who was looking at Brooklyn inquisitively.

"Uhm, I guess I'm not feeling as *well as I think*," Brooklyn said, his voice suddenly going higher on the last part.

"What?" said Angela.

"*I said* I'm not as *well* as I think," he tried saying again, detecting a feminine note in his voice. What was going on?

Angela frowned. "Brooklyn, are you all *right*?" she asked, having trouble with her voice as it suddenly took a pitch downward. She coughed, the coughing not in correct pitch with her normal voice.

Brooklyn stared confusingly at her, but suddenly he felt completely strange. He looked down at his loincloth again, and pulled the strap on his belt away to get a good look. Sure enough, it was completely gone, to be replaced by something he didn't expect to see. A woman’s???? He quickly looked back up in complete shock at Angela.

"I...I..." he tried to say, but again something attacked him that made him feel weird. He felt an increasing weight on his chest, and looked down to see it swelling. He was growing breasts?? He looked back up at Angela, who was looking down at herself. Her chest was flat as a board, and she was freaking out. She looked down to something protruding from her skirt. Brooklyn knew immediately what it was, for he once had one. He covered his growing chest, which he could confirm was now a bosom. Angela turned around, as he saw her skin was turning red. He saw his skin was turning lavender. What was happening to us? He looked like he was turning into Angela! Some of his muscles disappeared and his facial features changed. He was getting taller too, and Angela was getting shorter. "Angela! Take off your clothes and switch!" he said quickly. Angela did just that, as Brooklyn turned around and did the same. Each handed each other their clothes, and quickly put them on. Now Brooklyn felt the clothes adjust to his figure, and Angela felt the loincloth become a perfect fit. Both turned around to watch the final change, as Angela's hair turned white and wiry, and Brooklyn's hair turned brown and got more volume. Then, Brooklyn lost his beak, and was now looking down at himself. Angela grew his beak, and looked down at herself. Angela was now Brooklyn, and Brooklyn was now Angela!

(For the sake of reference, Brooklyn = Angela's body and Angela = Brooklyn's body)

Lexington was having a hard time controlling this desire to be with Eliza. He wanted her so much for some reason. He continued to grow, but noticed other changes as well. He had hair, for one. It was growing very long down his back, as he passed the 6'5" mark. He was getting taller, but other things we're happening too! What did Puck do to him? He kept growing until he was 7' tall. Then, he stopped altogether. Odd, he was feeling very different, yet was still changing. His voice sounded deeper, and he could tell his skin was turning lavender. His wish of being tall like Goliath had come true, but he looked like that he was also turning INTO Goliath! He quickly readjusted his loincloth, taking the belt to a larger size. He then looked into a mirror, and was stunned to see himself as Goliath. This explained why he wanted Eliza so bad and why he had felt different. Certainly Puck was involved in all this, but why switch bodies with Goliath and he? Lex looked down at himself again. And what is happening to Goliath? Has he turned into my original body?

Lex started off in search of Owen. He had to be somewhere in the building...

Angela looked down at herself, still not believing what she was seeing. It was like looking into a mirror when she looked at Brooklyn, but she was certainly not herself anymore. Finally, she said something since the transformation. "How did this happen?"

Brooklyn frowned, looking at his new body. "I don't know! The only thing I've been feeling odd of late is my eyes hurting. I did hear Alexander say something in Latin though when I visited him. Perhaps Puck taught him something that did this!"

Angela still wasn't used to being Brooklyn. Apparently, neither was Brooklyn to her body. "Well, let's go find Owen, because I cannot live like this, being away from my true form."

Brooklyn smiled slightly, a smile only Angela could do. "Neither could I! Let's find that trickster."

They set off down the various corridors, looking for Owen.

Eliza and Goliath finally made it back to the Eyrie Building, having walked for over an hour. They got past security easy, having picked up a trench coat and hat for Goliath. They took the elevator to the top floor, and set off looking for Owen..

Owen was busy working in his office in the Eyrie Building. He tapped away on his computer, and reading reports on various Xanatos industries and making suitable decisions about what to do with them. Little did he know he had four altered gargoyles and one female woman coming after him, as Lexington burst through the door. Owen peeked up and raised an eyebrow. "It appears that you are not what you seem, Lexington," he said.

"What did you do to me??" said Lexington, who was now talking in Goliath's deep voice.

"It was merely a transference spell. If you want me to fix it, just get Goliath in here. He should be looking a lot like you did an hour ago if my calculations are correct."

About that time, Eliza and Goliath did walk in. Goliath was stunned to see himself standing there, as Lexington turned around and saw the couple. His eyes immediately went to Eliza's dress, but he suppressed himself for he knew it was Goliath's body that wanted Eliza, not him. Owen raised an eyebrow. "Seems my timing was perfect," he said, then stood up and twirled around to become Puck.

Puck swirled around the two quickly. "This will only take a second. I got to do a job for my human boss down the hall in a minute," Puck said gleefully. No Latin was required here, as he twirled faster and faster around the two. Eliza could see the Lexington body start to get taller, and rip out of the small coat that she had placed on him. Goliath's body was shrinking rapidly and losing hair, and disappeared within the swirling. She saw a familiar head peek above the swirling, and soon, Puck stopped, revealing Lexington back to his usual form, and Goliath standing there with a ripped trenchcoat and quickly adjusting his loincloth again.

"Well, now that's all said and done, you'll have to excuse me..." Puck said, flying out the door.

But before he could leave, he ran into Angela and Brooklyn. He stopped and looked up at them. Both immediately tried to grab him, but Puck darted off. "Now how did that happen? You've switched too?" said Puck, twirling around now around Angela and Brooklyn with lightening speed. Brooklyn could feel the clothes he was wearing increase in size, and felt his chest shrink. He could also feel his manhood return, and was certainly glad of that. He quickly ditched Angela's clothes and handed them to her, while Angela quickly unbuckled her loincloth while going through her change. Soon, their beaks switched, each stopped growing and shrinking, and they were back to normal.

Puck stopped, and took a deep breath. "So that's what you guys look like naked!" Immediately, both Brooklyn and Angela growled. Puck, sensing that was a bad move, quickly stated, "I was joking! I didn't look!" The couple settled down. Eliza shook her head quickly.

"What exactly was going on?" asked Eliza, who looked frayed at the edges over this matter.

"Oh, simply one of Alexander's complicated lessons. I saw Lexington here wanting to grow larger, and decided to use a unique method of achieving that. Course, I'm sorry if I interrupted your date, I had no knowledge that was going on! So, I need to check on my pupil then go to Xanatos to report these stock-holdings for him! Ta-ta!" With that, Puck flew out the door and away.

Eliza, Goliath, Brooklyn, Angela, and Lexington looked at each other. Lexington smiled slightly. "So, my turn to patrol for the rest of the year?"

Bronx scratched his ear, and padded down the corridor. He hadn't been out on too many adventures of late, so he decided to do some more exploring of his old home. The old gargoyle that he was friends with was sleeping again, but Bronx didn't feel tired. He padded into Alexander's room, who was sleeping peacefully. Bronx stood up on the side of the crib, peeking into the crib. The human baby was sleeping peacefully, yet it seemed to have a sort of wicked face on his head, like he was planning something.

The baby suddenly leaped to life, scaring Bronx a little. The gargoyle dog shied away a bit, but the baby was reaching out for Bronx. Bronx bent down into the crib and licked Alexander. But, Bronx could detect a greenish glow around Alexander. He sniffed the baby, wondering what it was, when his eyes were suddenly struck with this pain. He yipped, and fell back, rolling along the ground and rubbing his eyes. When he looked again, Alexander was sleeping again. This confused Bronx, but he knew something familiar was involved in this. He padded off, in a slightly worse mood than he was.

Eliza walked back into the main room, with Brooklyn and Angela. She was starting to get tired of walking all over the place in her pumps. She had walked 4 miles to get back to the Eyrie Building, and now she was walking all around it. She sat down next to Hudson, taking them off and rubbing her feet. Goliath was having a talk with Lexington, but after that he would come out and try and save what was left of the night. Sunrise was still a good deal of time away, but not enough to have a good time. Bronx padded in, working his way over to Hudson and Eliza. Brooklyn had taken flight outside while Angela was passing through to the library.

Bronx walked over to the carpet in front of them, when he noticed Eliza. He quickly bounced onto her, licking her all over the face. Eliza knew Bronx hadn't seen her for awhile, but this was ridiculous! She had to get him off her, for he was starting to tear at her new dress. She pushed the gargoyle dog down, who immediately panted happily, and curled at her feet. Bronx seemed exhausted after that display of affection.

She sighed, and waited a little longer for Goliath. She put her pumps back on, finding them to be an uncomfortable fit. She looked down at her feet. Funny, they fit her a minute ago. She shoved her foot into the shoe so it would fit, but she could possibly have an aching foot for the rest of the evening. Goliath finally came out of the hallway and walked towards Eliza. She turned around quickly, and smiled. "Well, ready to try tonight again?" she said.

Goliath grinned, and nodded. Eliza got on his back, holding onto his neck. Then, they glided off the parapet, flying towards the river for a candle light dinner.

Eliza could feel a small bloating in herself along the way. She couldn't explained it, but she ignored it. She could feel her feet press tight against her shoes. She let out a little moan, as Goliath looked back up at her. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"I'm not feeling too well. I'm sure it will pass. Rrrrrright now, just head forrrr the rrrrriverrr," she said, struggling on the r's in the last part of her sentence.

Goliath frowned. "What was that?"

Eliza paused, not realizing what he meant. "What was what?"

"What you just said."

"I said head forrrr the rrrriverrr," she said, again having trouble with the r's.

Goliath frowned. "Eliza, are you feeling ok? I mean, your seem heavier."

Eliza sighed. "I'm fine Goliath. Let's just go."

Goliath didn't say another thing , but Eliza could feel that bloating increase. She looked down at her feet hanging in mid-air from Goliath's back. They hurt now from the tightness, but she couldn't ditch them. Her legs looked darker though, and seemed shorter. She sighed, and assumed it was her pantyhose. She brought her hand up from around Goliath's neck, scratching behind her ear. Her nails were a lot sharper than they were, but she didn't notice. She brought her hand around Goliath's neck again, and waited for them to get to the river.

That's when she finally noticed something wrong. She could feel the bloating on her skin, and looked down to see her arms and chest getting larger. Her dress was starting to get pushed away from her body, and was becoming painfully tight against her. Her skin was also getting darker than her normal tan color, and was feeling tougher. She suddenly knew what was happening, but then disaster struck.

Goliath suddenly swerved just as Eliza was about to say something. Something had been launched at them, and as Eliza looked around, she saw they were being fired on by a helicopter. It was the Quarryman! Their insignia was on the side of the helicopter, and was pursuing them. Again, there date was interrupted! But Eliza wasn't concerned with that when suddenly something ripped out the back of her dress. She tried to arch her neck back and see what it was, but only caught a glance of something wagging. She had no idea what it was, when suddenly Goliath swerved again, nearly losing Eliza. He steadied himself. "Eliza, what is wrong? Are you ok??" he said, sensing something was going on to his love on his back.

Eliza was speechless right now as her changes continued, but as Goliath was distracted, he was hit by a laser, and knocked unconscious. Goliath and Eliza fell to the ground, separated and heading in opposite directions. Eliza did not know what became of Goliath, but she knew that he fell down a alley, and hopefully landed on something soft. For her, she did land on something soft. She landed on a bunch of pillows in a dumpster, cushioning her fall. She came worried about Goliath, but soon that passed, for her changes were still progressing. Her dress was bursting at the seams, as grey skin was coming through. Her pumps finally became free as taloned feet burst through them. Her nails disappeared to talons, and finally, her head changed, to some shape she did not knew. She felt completely awkward, and got onto all fours and looked around. New senses came to her, as she found a broken mirror and looked into it. What she saw made her nearly freak out. She was not staring at a image of herself...she was staring at Bronx! She had become Bronx!

This made her really angry. Apparently, Puck had cast the same spell on her as he had on Goliath and Brooklyn. She leaped out of the dumpster and started looking for Goliath before the Quarrymen could get to him.

Demona was once again cooking up another scheme. She had managed to sneak into the Eyrie Building, and headed towards the top levels. For some reason, she could always get past Xanatos's security. Of course, the bugs she had placed in the building allowed her to get past it all, and shut down certain sectors for a short time as she passed through. Finally, she came to the nursery, where her intended captive was supposed to be sleeping. She opened the door silently, careful not to make noise with her laser rifle. She was going to steal Alexander right from under their noses, and hold him for ransom. Her funds were a little low and she needed the cash, for every time a plan failed she would lose money. She found him sleeping quietly, and quickly picked up the toddler. He woke immediately, and started to cry when Demona covered his mouth. The baby seemed to immediately calm down, and did nothing to pry her hand away. This was odd to Demona, as she let go of her hand over his mouth. "That's better, ya little runt. Now come along quietly and I might give you some candy."

The baby started to talk, but not as loudly. The thought that this baby could speak surprised Demona. But, suddenly, her eyes lanced out in pain, as she let go of the toddler. She knew she alerted someone, but what had that baby done? She knew her plan had failed once again by some unforeseen circumstance, as she bolted out of the room and suddenly ran into Hudson. He was the only gargoyle here in range of the cry, and he had come to investigate. Demona looked up at him, her eyes turning blood red. "Get out of my way old man!" she screamed, trying to get past.

Hudson drew his sword. "Not so fast lass....we'd like to keep you around for awhile."

Demona sighed. "I guess we will have to do this the hard way," she said, whipping out her laser gun and firing at Hudson.

Hudson quickly dodged, and with a quick deft maneuver, sliced the laser-gun in half. He didn't know he was that fast, but didn't care as Demona stared in disbelief and bolted. The elder gargoyles ran after her with a new supply of energy he didn't know he had. Demona seemed to be slowing too. But, she managed to leap off the parapet and soar away. Frowning, Hudson returned back to the castle to check on Alex. That's when he noticed he had breasts. He sighed. "With old age, one does get these...." he said, and ignored it. He walked into the room where Alex was. He was sleeping tightly, apparently past the events that just happened. He would inform Xanatos when he was available of what happened, although her probably already knew. He heft up his loose belt and went back into the TV room. What he found was extremely disturbing. There was some woman curled up on the carpet, naked. He paused, and suddenly realized it was Eliza. "Lass! Ye can't be doing this in the main room! Here, put this on!" he said quickly, handing her a blanket. She just got up, and looked at Hudson on all fours. Suddenly, Hudson didn't think this was Eliza. He recalled what Goliath had mentioned earlier about what had happened to him and other members of the clan. He quickly blanketed Eliza and carried her to Owen's office. Inside of himself, he felt he was changing too, for this seemed to be affecting all of the clan. Yet he had not seen Puck all day. He paused, looking down at himself. What he saw was disturbing. He was thinner then he usually was, and seemed to have large breasts. So, he was changing! But who was he changing into! Only 3 females came to mind, all of which he had seen tonight. But, only one had red hair, as he could see it flowing down his back. He sighed. He was turning into Demona! His clothes fell lose on his body, his body becoming female and blue. He carried on, heading towards the top until he came to Owen's office. The aide to Xanatos was present, and was quite surprised to see Demona wearing Hudson's clothes, sword dragging behind her on a loose belt, carrying Eliza, naked, covered only by a blanket, in her arms. "Well," said Owen, adjusting his glasses. "Now I've seen everything."

Hudson sighed. "It's not what you think. I've just switched bodies with Demona, and apparently Bronx with Eliza's. I'm really Hudson." he said, hoping Owen would see beyond his body and find that he was Hudson.

Owen became Puck in a flash of light. "Of course your Hudson! But apparently my little pupil is learning his lessons and applying it to everyone! Well, there is nothing I can do right now, unless both members of the transformation are present! Here, let me put you in something for suitable," he said, rather quickly. He snapped his fingers, and could see Eliza wearing her normal clothes. He also saw he was wearing Demona's leathers.

"You plan to get Demona in here, near you? That is a mighty task Puck." Hudson said, laying down Bronx. He curled up and went to sleep. Funny how Bronx had not said a word as Eliza. Hopefully, no one would burst in and see him like this. Hudson was humiliated enough looking exactly like Demona.

"Oh, I think I can manage," Puck said, swirling around and disappearing.

Hudson sighed, looking down at himself. "I wonder if Demona's immortality is in me now?"

He heard a voice behind him, and whirled around. Broadway was there, standing with his jaw wide open. "Demona! Get away from Eliza!" he exclaimed, and leaped viciously at Hudson.

Eliza sniffed around the area, a bit of her dress still attached to her large body. She clawed it off, and finally found Goliath's scent. She knew it well, having been around him for a long time. She padded off down the alley, finding him in a dumpster. He had not landed as softly as she had, and was out cold. Unfortunately, the Quarrymen helicopter was closing in on their location, so she did not have much time. She barked loudly into Goliath's ear, and tried shaking him around with her paw to make him wake up. After much racket, he did wake up. He groggily looked in Eliza's direction, and suddenly was surprised. "Wha..?!?" he said, stumbling back in the dumpster. "Oh, it's only you Bronx. How did you find me? No matter, do you know where Eliza is?" he asked, figuring Bronx could track anyone.

Eliza whimpered. Goliath did not recognize her at all. "What is wrong boy? Do you know where Eliza is?"

Eliza suddenly had an idea. If what happened to her had been a similar case to what had happened to Lex and Goliath, and Brooklyn and Angela, then most certainly Bronx would have changed into her. She barked happily, and leapt out of the dumpster. She started running off towards the Eyrie Building visible in the distance. Goliath got the message, and started following by air. They had escaped just in time, for the Quarrymen came right by Goliath's dumpster, and passed by it without even pausing. No word of what happened to the Quarrymen's search ever came to Goliath, for they never found him that night.

Hudson tried and wrestled the much larger gargoyle off him, and managed to get some foothold. "Broadway! Settle down! It's me, Hudson!" he said in desperation.

Broadway slowed down some, but continued to beat on who he thought was Demona. "Liar!" he yelled, and gave Hudson a good one in the chin. He had a bleeding nose when he finally managed to knock Broadway off of him. Hudson noticed that his wound healed instantly on him. "So, Demona's healing ability is in me," he said to himself, circling Broadway across the room.

Bronx woke up immediately and started barking, in Eliza's voice. Broadway turned in Bronx's direction, and looked immediately surprised. "Eliza?" he said, and momentarily paused.

Hudson took this time to prove he was Hudson. "That's not Eliza. That's Bronx. And I'm Hudson. Weren't you informed of what happened this night?" he questioned, hoping Broadway would pause.

He did, and looked at Hudson confusingly. "What happened tonight? I haven't been around," he said.

Hudson sighed. "Puck and Alex have been wrecking havoc on our eyes. Lex and Goliath switched bodies, along with Angela and Brooklyn. It appears now that myself and Demona have switched, and Bronx and Eliza have switched," he explained. Broadway nodded slowly.

"It's hard to believe, but it makes some sense of why Eliza is sniffing the floor."

"Funny, isn't it? Well, Puck has gone off to get Demona here somehow. I wonder how he'll do it?"

Suddenly, Goliath and Bronx busted into the room, looking around. Immediately, Goliath saw Hudson and went into shock. "Demona? What are you doing here?" he yelled.

Broadway came forth. "Easy Goliath! Apparently Alex had done it again. Demona here is Hudson, and Eliza is Bronx."

The Bronx body started pawing at the dress Eliza, as both sniffed each other. Eliza let out a low growl, but waited patiently on her hands and knees. Goliath stared in disbelief.

"So...Eliza is Bronx, and Bronx is Eliza? I thought Puck had stopped this for the night! Where is he?"

"Getting Demona apparently," said Hudson.

Just then, Puck appeared with Hudson's body. Hudson didn't appear calm or collective as the he had been known to be. Instead, he was full of Demona's hatred. "Well, this certainly was easy," Puck said, tying Hudson up and looking at Bronx. He picked up a bit of cloth left on the dog, a small shard of Eliza's once beautiful dress. He smiled slightly. Then, he picked up the Eliza body, and held her upright. "Stay right there boy, I'll be right back."

He twirled around Eliza and Bronx really fast, creating a whirlpool effect. Goliath saw large ears come out of the sides of Eliza's head, and her eyes went pupil less. Her head also disappeared beneath the swirling as she started shrinking. Cloth could be heard tearing, as the Eliza body ripped out of them. Meanwhile, Bronx's body started growing black hair on it, while it stood upright. It became smaller and taller, while Eliza starting getting pudgier. Soon, Bronx's body had peach skin, and started growing the other features of women. Puck put Eliza's dress back on while he was swirling, as Bronx did not need clothes anymore. Soon, that ended, with Eliza in her dress, and Bronx shaking his head and moaning slightly. Puck grinned. "2 down, 2 to go."

He put the complaining Hudson in an upright position and did the same swirling process around that body and the one that the true Hudson occupied. Layers of fat started accumulating on the Demona body, as the Hudson one went through a weight loss that only Liposuction could guarantee. The loss of weight on Hudson's body also brought the addition of Demona's chest, as Demona's body became more manly. Finally, after all the changes, both gargoyles slumped out cold from the transformation. "Hmm, was tricky this time. A lot more resistant. Oh well, I'll put Demona back, and Hudson should be back up in a few minutes." With that, he disappeared, taking Demona with him.

Eliza turned around to face Goliath. "Let's all go down to see Alex. I think we need to have a little talk. with him." She grinned, as Goliath did too.

"Yes, I believe we need to stop this from happening accidentally again." Hudson nodded, having heard what just happened after waking up. Bronx barked. They took a trip downstairs. Alex was sleeping tight, but was soon disturbed as one human, two gargoyles, a gargoyle dog, and a fay after 1 minute appeared.

Puck spoke up. "Now Alex, you know it wasn't nice to affect these nice people with your spell you just learned. But, it was fun! You passed m'boy. Congratulations!" This caught everyone by surprise, for Puck was actually siding with Alex. They all just sighed. Puck then took up Alex, becoming Owen. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'm sure it shall not happen again...unless he you want him to?"

Hudson smiled slightly. "I don't think we'll be needing that kind lad. Just go along now, we'll be ok."

Owen nodded, and left with Alex. Hudson looked down at Eliza and up at Goliath. "All in all, a very exciting night."

Eliza chuckled slightly. "One I hope we never go through again. It's almost sunrise you guys, you have to get to bed."

Goliath nodded, and gave Eliza a quick kiss. The two gargoyles and the dog went up to the castle parapet. All of the members were there. As the sun was rising, Eliza said, "Just wait till I tell everyone about what happened."

Goliath turned around as he froze, a look of surprise on his face. Eliza grinned, having caught him off guard. "You know, I wonder what it would have been like to be Bronx...but now that I have, I don't expect to become him again...." She walked back down the stairs, and left the area.

In the distance, the sound of a baby cooing could be heard.......
