Stop! Before reading any further, read A Small Wish! It will explain a lot.

Dominique Destine watched as the gargoyles left her office in a flash of light. Her previous plan to destroy the gargoyles had failed. She screamed in frustration, her careful planning going to waste. It had been two specific people that brought about the demise of her plan. Lexington, who managed to get into her suit without her noticing and make her shrink, and Goliath, who had the ability to cast magic, and grow the gargoyles back to size.

She looked down at herself. She was in her pitiful human form, yet the sky was black with night. She had cast a sunbeam spell on herself, which would affect the victim for four hours as if the victim was in the sun. She couldn't wait for the spell to fade, but she had know idea when. In all the excitement and frustration, she had lost track of time. She remembered her meeting downstairs she had abandoned, due to the fact that she was shrinking. Now, full size and mean, she was ready to tackle any problem. She quickly called for the participants in the meeting to return.

As she walked down the hall towards the meeting room, the only thing in her mind was how to get revenge on Goliath. She had planned the previous one so perfect that it could not fail. But, somehow, as with every plan, it did. She still had the Grimorum, thankfully. If she had lost it, she would have gone ballistic and pursued Goliath to the ends of the Earth to get it back. She had made a duplicate of the original one, but could not use the magic inherent in the duplicate to make another. This was the last copy of the book unless she copied it by hand. She smiled...she had managed to get the required materials to make another Grimorum, and already, she had hired scribes to copy the book from photocopies of the pages. She sighed, as she opened the doors to the meeting.

Apparently, they had taken her advice an hour earlier. No one was in the meeting. She sighed and walked back up to her office, feeling some cramps in her stomach. By the time she had gotten to her office, the cramps had worsen into pain. She knew what was happening, as she doubled over in pain. The sunbeam spell was wearing off, changing her back into her true form. Her wings ripped out of her suit's back, while her skin turned blue. Her pumps were wrecked as her feet burst out. Finally, she turned back into a gargoyle, in a shredded red business suit. I must have the highest clothing bill in the world, she thought, as she tossed the suit into the trash and put on her leathers. She sat down and thought what she could do to get back at Goliath for making her plan fail. If he wasn't there, she would be rid of Lexington! Of course, her plan included Goliath to be captured. If only she hadn't chosen to give away the re-growth spell. But she had to, else she would shrink away to Goliath's size and be stuck there. She sighed, wishing she was someone else. She had to not only worry about her corporation, and make sure it was kept safe else lose her cover for her "high-profile" operations, but she was running out of ideas on how to destroy the blasted humans, and figure out how stop Goliath and his clan from making her do it!

She thought back on her last thought. Something made her repeat one phrase of it over and over. Someone else? She skimmed through her mind the Grimorum spells. Yes...that could be arranged. She quickly thought up a plan to get revenge on Goliath. Oh, she was going to love the look on the gargoyles's faces when she pulled this off. She set to work, making all the necessary preparations. This could take some time to do.....

3 days later

Goliath carried Eliza across New York, on another one of their dates. Eliza was off work for the night, and Eliza and he had planned their night ahead of time. They had already had dinner at a restaurant across town, and were now headed towards Central Park for a quiet walk through it. Hopefully, he would not have to break up muggings like last time.

Goliath landed softly, and let Eliza down gently. She was wearing a simple dress, appropriate for the mood tonight. Goliath took her hand in his as they strolled down the path. Tonight had to be a perfect night...

A mysterious figure watched the gargoyle and human walk down the path. It had taken it a long time to track these two down, and now it's plan was to be started. It leaped to another branch, remaining quiet as possible so as not to be discovered. It came into a position behind the couple. The gargoyle was about to take off after they had embraced. It had to move fast else it would not be able to further it's plans until later.

Goliath kissed Eliza, then picked her up as they were about to take off. A small whizzing sound could be heard like a bee. Goliath grabbed his shoulder in pain, nearly dropping Eliza. He looked into his shoulder to see a small dart in his skin. He quickly flinged it out. Eliza looked at him. "What was that?"

Goliath frowned. "I do not know. It was a small dart. Maybe someone was trying to drug me, but I don't feel drowsy."

Eliza looked at him in worry. "Let me look at it."

Goliath put Eliza down, then turned around to let her look at his shoulder. Eliza inspected the area where the dart had struck. Strangely, there appeared to be nothing wrong. Eliza turned Goliath around. "I see nothing wrong with it...where did you flick the dart?"

Goliath pointed in the direction where he had thrown it, but it had disappeared. Both were confused. "I could have sworn I tossed it over there." Goliath said.

Eliza was very worried. "Goliath, do you feel OK?"

Goliath nodded. "I feel fine."

Eliza sighed. "I want you to come in for a medical check tomorrow. Right now, let's finish our date. I can't arrange the things to get you checked out."

Goliath nodded again, and picked up Eliza. He climbed a tree with her and took off into the clear night sky.

1 week later

Goliath had checked out alright at the checkup, where Eliza had managed to get a very trusted friend

at the medical clinic. She was part of PIT which helped even more. Eliza had to go back to work for the week, and now it was the weekend again. Eliza was now off on those days due to the increase in the number of employees at the work force. That was good, cause she could spend more time with Goliath. She was on her way now to the Eyrie Building. Xanatos and Fox had returned from their trip.

She went upstairs of the Eyrie Building, and put on the dress she had in her bag. This was starting to repeat, and she knew it. She had done the same thing for the last couple of weekends, but she didn't mind. She liked being with Goliath. But she had to go shopping for a new dress...she smiled at the thought. What a harrowing process that would be!

She walked outside, her heels clicking on the stone floor. She walked up to the top tower, where a beautiful sunset as taking place over the cityscape. It was another minute before sundown, and soon she could enjoy the night with Goliath.

Finally, the sun did set, and the familiar cracking of stone could be heard. All the gargoyle burst from the stone sleep with a yell, then settled down and went off onto their own activities. This included Hudson and Bronx, who went to the television; Brooklyn and Broadway; who went onto patrol; Angela, who went to the library to read; Lexington, who went to the computer to study programs and update his web page (how he managed to get one, I shall not know, thought Eliza); Goliath; who was now before her and smiling. She returned the smile and let her pick him up, as he jumped off the balcony and flew off.

Demona smiled, seeing the full moon. This plan had taken her two weeks, and now on the night of the full moon, she could implement that plan. She started chanting a spell from the Grimorum, a green glowing surrounding her body. She became exhausted in casting, stumbling a bit after the spell had finished. She looked at her hands. They were still the same blue talons she had. She frowned. The spell duration and effect had not been mentioned, but she assumed it was immediate. Apparently it was not. She nearly went berserk. Had her plans failed once again? Had she wasted another two weeks for nothing? No, there had to be an effect. She sat down and waited. A half-hour went by, and she went about looking at her company stock. Another hour, and still nothing.

She was starting to get very bored. Oddly, she was starting to get very tired. She got onto the internet, as the hours dragged on. Still nothing, and she was unusually tired. In fact, she felt like going to sleep, something she rarely did unless knocked out into that state. She leaned back into her chair and stretched. Then, her body went limp as she fell asleep.

The sun was rising, as Demona slept. Without even waking, she became Dominique Destine. She kept sleeping...

Goliath sat Eliza down on the tower parapet. They had had a wonderful night, and now, the sun was rising. Goliath seemed to be out of it all night, nearly dozing off while they were flying. Eliza woke him up every time before he collided with a building or fell into the river. That was their excitement for the night. Goliath was finally ready to sleep, as the sun started to glisten on the horizon. Then, the sun filled the city with it's warmth and light, turning the gargoyles into complete stone.

Eliza patted Goliath's stone figure. "Sleep tight big guy..I got a special surprise for you tonight..." She grinned, and changed into her clothes and left for the mall...someone had to be open at the clothes department.

Goliath dreamed while he was in a stone sleep. He felt himself waking up, yet the sun was out. He looked down to see himself as a stone statue, but he did not care. He leaped off the castle parapet and glided in directions unknown. He flew and flew, until he came into the Nightstone Building. Then, he saw Demona sleeping there, as a human. He walked towards her, until he was right up to her. Then, he woke.

Dominique woke with a start, tumbling out of her seat and onto the cold floor. She groped around, trying to find out where she was. She calmed down, and looked around. A very confused expression came to her face. She looked down at herself. She was still wearing leathers, but she looked like she was in shock that she was wearing them. She looked at her hands, and nearly screamed. She stood up, stumbling over to the table, trying to gain support. "DEMONA! I'LL GET YOU FOR THIS!" Dominique yelled to no one in the room.

Dominique Destine wasn't Dominique Destine anymore. It was her body all right...but trapped inside her head was the thoughts and mind of Goliath.

She looked at herself. She had never felt like this before...so small and weak. A weight could be felt on the front of her, and after taking a quick look, she knew what it was. She stumbled again, not used to walking like this. She had always been walking on gargoyle feet, and now, it was so awkward. She felt so weak too. She didn't have the strength she used to have. She was smaller than most people too. She had always been accustomed to a 7' height....now she was around 5'9".

She shivered. It was cold in here. She had not been here before with this much freedom, and assumed that there had to be something to cloth herself with somewhere. After checking various doors and finding high-tech equipment that was off-line, she found a closet. It was filled with lots of clothes, but most of them were female clothes. She knew that she was supposed to wear them, since after all, she was a female, but she still felt like wearing something else. She knew she was in the Nightstone Building, and had to get out of here while looking business like. Who would walk out in T-shirts and pants in such a place? She sighed, and picked out the dress Demona had worn more than a week ago, when she had shrunk Lexington. She looked around for shoes, and found some high-heeled pumps. She tried them one, and felt it was a lot easier to walk in. It felt like gargoyle feet.

She changed, and immediatly headed out the door to try and get to her clan. The door was locked. She frowned, and tried to break the door open. It was a weak attempt, for she did not have the strength she used to have. She could take on hordes of strong people, but now, she was pathetic. Possibly with the falling of night she would be able to escape...but for now, she was stuck.

She walked over to the computer screen, trying to adjust to this new body and finding out what Demona had done to her. She tried the computer, something she had little access on. Unfortunately, the power seemed to have been out. Even the power switch was on, but the computer would not turn on. She frowned. She tired other devices, and they too did not work. Dominique knew what Demona was doing. She was locking him out and keeping him hostage. But what will happen tonight when the sun sets? She needed to get out and confront Demona...who probably was in his body now.

She tapped her fingers restlessly. She had to be able to do something. But she couldn't. She would have to sit it out until the sun set, and then maybe she could do something. Time passed quickly as she looked around and discovered secrets to this room. She felt an uneasy feeling within himself as the sun went down beyond the horizon. Suddenly, she was gripped with pain she had never felt before. It felt like her skin was tearing apart from the inside. She fell to the ground screaming in pain. She could feel something coming out of her back, ripping apart the clothes there. She felt an increasing pressure on the shoes she was wearing, then no pressure at all as they ripped apart. She felt herself growing slightly, a slight increase in weight on her brow and hands. Finally, the pain went away. She looked down at herself to see she was a blue gargoyle. She was also very close to being naked. She had seen Demona naked before, but she wasn't going to do that now. She didn't look down as she went into the closet to find Demona's leathers. Finding them, she placed them on, and tried to get out. This time, she was much stronger than she was as a human, and was able to open the window without trouble. She flew off, wobbling a bit at the change in weight.

Demona felt herself waking up after what seemed like a deep sleep. She had just dozed off for some strange reason in her office. Now, she felt herself confined in something. She tried with much success to rid herself of this bind. Something started cracking as the layer surrounding her skin went away. She roared....and thought he heard Goliath's voice. She gasped slightly. She looked down to find herself not a she, but rather a he. His plan had worked! He was now in Goliath's body! He felt someone watching him though. He quickly turned around to find something that made him choke. Eliza was standing there, his mortal enemy, bedecked in this dress that made her sick. It started to be black as midnight, coming down at stopping just short of her knees. She was also wearing knee-high high-heeled boots. She was staring at him like she wanted something. He was very confused, and tried to work his way out of this situation.

"Hello Eliza," he said.

Eliza ran up and jumped up into a suprised Goliath's arms. "Take me Goliath..."

He nearly dropped her. He didn't want to do this tonight! How far had Goliath and Eliza gone? Could they truly be willing to have kids? He knew he had to stop this.

"Eliza, what are you doing?" Goliath questioned.

"I told you I was going to do something special tonight...so I went to the mall and got something you would enjoy...now let's go you big loaf." Eliza replied, then grinned.

He was in an odd position. For all the time that he had lived, he never felt loved at all. Now, he was being confronted with it, and he was very confused.

"Perhaps we shouldn't do that tonight," Goliath said, trying to worm out of going out with Eliza, especially tonight!

Eliza purred. "Oh shut up and let's go....tonight is going to be a special night."

He dropped Eliza. "What is wrong with you Eliza? We are not that far in our relationship to even consider what your going to be doing tonight."

Eliza looked hurt. "Goliath, what are you saying?"

Goliath grinned to himself. "I think we should just stop dating...it isn't working out. I mean, your human, I'm gargoyle. Certainly problems would present themselves."

Eliza looked on the verge of crying. "How could you say that? After all we've been through! I've saved your life, you've saved mine! And now your just rejecting me? This isn't like you at all Goliath! I hope your feeling better tomorrow cause I don't know if I want to come back for awhile."

Eliza stormed off, nearly breaking her boot's heels in the process. Goliath smiled to himself. Now that he ruined on aspect of Goliath's life, it was time to hurt the clan.

Eliza sat in her car, crying to herself. What had happened? Why was Goliath so mean tonight? She had no idea why. She was about to drive off when she noticed something strange. Demona was flying above the ground, heading towards the Eyrie Building.

Eliza just wanted to forget Goliath right now. She just wanted to hurt him and he had hurt her by just walking away. But, she couldn't. She had to help against Demona. She put the brake back onto her car and walked back up to the Eyrie Building.

Things were unsteady for her. She was still not used to this body, but she was learning. She landed quietly outside the Eyrie Building's inner roof. Here, her clan usually watched TV or had something to eat. It was their home. She looked around for Goliath, who was probably Demona right now. She silently moved closer to the door.

A gun could be heard clicking. "Hold it right there, Demona!" came a familiar voice.

She turned around quickly to find her love with a gun pointed at her in this stunning dress. She must have had expected Goliath to be here tonight, yet he was not to be found.

"Eliza!" cried out Demona. "Listen to me! Demona has placed me under some kind of spell. She is using my body to do some scheme, and has trapped me in hers! You have to believe me!"

Eliza frowned. It was like she was considering something. She knew that Eliza would trust Goliath...but what if she still thought she was Demona? That could bring big problems.

"How do I know your telling the truth?" Eliza said cautiously.

Eliza knew that their might be a hint of truth in that talk. Goliath had just bolted out at her, and she was sure that that kind of cruelty could come from Demona too. Now, here was Demona telling her she was Goliath. This made little sense, but the more she thought about it, the more it seemed likely.

"Remember the first time we met? You fell off the building, and I glided down and caught you." Demona said, in a tone of voice Eliza never heard before. It sounded like a wise voice, with compassion in it.

Eliza put her gun away. "OK, now how exactly did Demona do this to you?"

She frowned. "I do not know. But she must have done it somehow. Where is Demona?"

Eliza smiled. "Right here....oh that Demona!" She grinned. "I don't know but she...or is it he?" She thought a second. "I don't know where he is. But he might be around trying to do something to the clan. Split up...no wait, if we split up, someone might attack you thinking your Demona."

She nodded. "Let's confront the clan on this so this won't happen."

Eliza followed the Demona body down into the main area. What they found wasn't good. The gargoyles were there, sleeping, in some kind of blue force field. The Demona body quickly rushed over to the force field, possibly trying to break through. She rebounded off and nearly knocked herself out by hitting a wall.

"So..." a bass voice echoed out. "You've finally come Demona...or should I say Goliath?"

The Goliath body came down from the top of the building, holding a book that was undoubtedly the Grimorum Archinorum, and a laser rifle larger than the Demona body could hold. "I had some free time to pick these things up while I was walking amongst your clan. Funny how it's so easy to deceive them." She brought the gun up to the pair. "Now, can you tell me what exactly your going to do now?"

The Demona body roared and hissed, then made a leaping assault on the Goliath body. The Goliath body was caught off guard for some reason, as the Demona body made contact with her foot on the Goliath's body face. Quickly, the Demona body grabbed up the Grimorum, skimming through it's ancient tomes. The Demona body was proficient in reading Latin, and seemed to find the right spell almost immediatly. "Your plan will not work Demona," said the Demona body. "It ends now...with us having the Grimorum."

The Goliath body quickly brought the Demona body up into a bearhug. The Demona body stopped chanting as she felt herself losing strength as the pressure increased. Now he knew what Demona felt when she was being crushed by him in these maneuvers. She quickly tried to break free, but only when Eliza managed to pick up the laser rifle, about 5 sizes to big for her, and aim it at Goliath, only then did the Demona body get free.

The Goliath body dropped the Demona body as Eliza aimed the gun. "Let Goliath go and return to your own body."

The Goliath body smiled. "If you kill me, I return to my old body, with Goliath being dead in his. So go ahead...take your best shot."

The Goliath body started walking up to Eliza, who was steadily backing up. Her boot's heel caught in a crack, tripping her up backwards and bringing the gun down on her body. Now, she was stuck, and the Goliath body was advancing on her.

The Goliath body stopped however. He rubbed his head, then turned around. The Demona body, during this time, had regained enough strength to cast the proper counterspell. The Goliath body screamed as he felt her mind seeping away from Goliath's body. Both bodies fell to the ground as a small essence of green emanated between both. This cleared, as Eliza pushed the big gun off her and ran over to Goliath. Demona was the first to wake. She screamed, realizing her plans had gone awry again. "You may have won again Goliath, but don't think you shall keep the Grimorum! I still have it!" She was right, as Demona was holding the Grimorum when Goliath was occupying her body. She raced out the window, with Goliath finally being able to get up.

Eliza kissed Goliath passionately. "Oh...I missed you so...."

Goliath smiled, then looked at his comrades. The force field holding them was breaking apart, and they were waking up. Brooklyn was there first to notice Goliath and Eliza laying down on the floor, with what looked like Eliza in one sexy dress. "Jalapena Goliath! You weren't planning on doing it in here, were you?"

Goliath frowned, as Eliza smiled and chuckled slightly. "Oh no...we were just kissing that's all."

After a quick explanation, everything was almost back to normal. "What I don't get is how she managed to get that spell on you."

Goliath thought it over. "Perhaps she was the one who used that dart on me. It could have contained a magical fluid that linked her to me."

Hudson nodded. "Could have been lad. Now you two scurry off and go have a nice date."

Goliath smiled at his mentor, and picked Eliza up. They flew off the top of the tower, heading towards the moon in a nice, happy ending.
