"This is Travis Marshall and I am standing in front of the remains
of St. Damian's Cathedral. Earlier this morning, the Cathedral had
been blown up by three people, whose names we cannot release at this moment,
and mythical creatures known as Gargoyles. These `Gargoyles`
are also held responsible for the destruction of the twenty third precinct
two days ago. You can hear the NYPD helicopters passing overhead
as they continue to patrol the city for riots and looting."
Travis was only half right. Yes, the helicopters that flew overhead were police choppers that patrolled Manhattan, some were helicopters from local television stations and one helicopter didn't have any interest in the city at all. The black helicopter sailed over Travis Marshall and St. Damian's Cathedral as it headed toward one of the tallest buildings in the country, the Eyrie Building. Atop the Eyrie sat Scotland's Castle Wyvern which housed the Gargoyles that Travis Marshall spoke of.
One of the four people in the black helicopter looked at his watch. 10:00 am. He nodded to the pilot and said, "It's time. Let's go."
* * * * * *
A black van pulled up in front of the Eyrie screeching it's tires. The back doors flew open and five men jumped out carrying shotguns. They closed the doors and the driver sped off. The five men, dressed in black outfits, barged through the doors and into the Eyrie.
The security guard behind the desk stood up and saw the men with guns come running in. He said, "Hey! What's going on here?" Before the guard could reach for his pistol, a shotgun fired and blew through his chest.
The five men headed for the elevator. Three waited for it while the other two men ran for the staircase.
* * * * * *
Elsewhere in the Eyrie, a blonde man by the name of Owen Burnett stood in the center of a large room looking at a dark haired man behind a desk. Owen said, "Mr. Xanatos, it appears that we have some..." he straightened his glasses and continued, "uninvited guests."
"Don't worry about it Owen," Mr. Xanatos said. He stared at the small video screen on the desktop. It read `camera D4` in the bottom right-hand corner and, in black and white, showed two men running up the stairs. Xanatos stood up out of his chair and put his hands on the desk. "They're after the Gargoyles, no doubt. Especially after what has happened recently." He turned and stared out the large window which reached from the floor to he ceiling and looked down at the city. "Stall them," he said to Owen. "I will be there shortly."
Owen bowed his head stiffly and said, "Certainly, Mr. Xanatos." He obediently spun on his heel and exited the room.
Xanatos walked over to a metal cabinet across the room and pulled a ring of keys from his pocket. Unlocking and opening the cabinet, he reached in and pulled out a laser-projectile weapon. Shaking his head and smiling, he said aloud to himself, "I love Cyberbiotics."
* * * * * *
The two men who ran up the stairwell reached the Great Hall of Castle Wyvern. They continued upward to the parapets of the Castle. They stared at the stone Gargoyles and smiled.
The other three men arrived soon after the first two. The black chopper was seen off in the distance. As it approached the Castle, Owen appeared. Coming out of the stairway, he pointed a pistol at the men. "Mr. Xanatos doesn't appreciate strangers coming in off the street uninvited and killing his employees. If you would all just come with me--"
Owen was interrupted by machine gun fire. It came from the helicopter. He jumped back down the stairway barely missing the bullets. The helicopter hovered over the parapet as the men inside lowered straps and cables to the five men below. Another helicopter appeared and began lowering cables as well.
The men on the turret grabbed the cables and strapped them to the biggest Gargoyle named Goliath.
Xanatos emerged from the staircase and aimed his laser-projectile weapon at one of the helicopters. He fired and the laser caught one of the men in the shoulder. He fell out of the chopper and on to the turret.
The machine gun fired again and hit Xanatos in the leg. He fell backward and dropped his gun which slid across the turret. Owen ran over and was about to pick it up when one of the men stepped on it. Smiling, the man said, "I don't think so." He swung his shotgun upward and hit Owen in the chin knocking him backward. When Owen was down, the man punched him in the face and knocked him unconscious. He said, "Don't interfere."
Xanatos couldn't move. He was in too much pain and his leg was bleeding all over the place. He couldn't even reach his gun. So he laid there and watched the men lift each one of the seven Gargoyles up into the choppers. "You won't get away with this!" he yelled out in anger.
Fox ran past Xanatos and said without stopping, "Alex is okay." She continued to run toward the men. She leaped into the air and kicked one of them over the edge of the turret. He landed hard on the Castle floor below. She turned and grabbed another man as the machine gun fired again. While holding him, Fox jumped, flipped in mid-air and rolled. She tossed the man aside in doing all of that. Then she was hit in the head from behind with the butt-end of a shotgun. The man that hit her said, "Sweet dreams, Wonder Chick."
Xanatos watched as the rage grew inside him. He tried to move but winced when he moved his injured leg. They lifted the last Gargoyle, Bronx, into the chopper and they all flew off leaving their own injured men behind.
* * * * * *
Detective Elisa Maza screeched to a stop and jumped out of her '57 Chevy leaving her partner behind. Matt Bluestone climbed out of the car and Elisa was already in the Eyrie. He said aloud to himself, "I knew working with her would be good exercize." He ran into the building and saw Elisa examining an injured security guard. He was most likely dead. Elisa turned and said, "Call an ambulence. I'm gonna go check on Goliath."
Elisa ran to the elevator and pushed the button. She continued to push it when the elevator doors didn't open. She decided it was taking too long so she took the stairs.
* * * * * *
Xanatos tried to pull himself over to his wife, Fox, just as Elisa showed up. She saw Xanatos injured and Owen and Fox out cold. "What happened?!" Looking around the parapet, she ran to the edge and looked down at the lower turrets. Turning back, she said, "Where're the Gargoyles?!"

In London, England later that day, an overweight man in his sixties sat behind a desk doing paperwork. This man is the head of British Intelegence and is only referred to as `M`. He opened a drawer in the desk and took out a folder with the words `For Your Eyes Only` written across it at an angle. Setting it on the desk he pushed a button on the intercom and said, "Ms. Moneypenny, get me 007 on the phone, will you."
A feminie voice came back saying, "Certainly."
"Thank you." He pushed the folder aside and got back to work. Not a minute later, Moneypenny's voice came through the intercom again. "M, James is on line one."
"Thank you." Taking his finger off the button, he picked up the phone. "007, drop what you're doing and be here in an hour." He listened and heard nothing. "007? Are you there?"
M heard someone breathing over the phone and then a woman's voice faintly said, "Oh, James."
M said with a firm voice, "007! Make that thirty minutes!"
He heard 007 say, "Forty five." And then there was a dial tone.
M slammed the phone down and said, "Blast!"

Meanwhile, somewhere...Goliath awoke to find himself and his clan locked in a somewhat large cage. The Gargoyles gasped almost in unison. "What is the meaning of this? Who's there?" Goliath demanded answers but got no response.
His former mentor, Hudson, said, "Well, there's no point in talking to the air." He grasped the bars and, before he could pull them apart, got a powerful shock. "Aaccck!!" Hudson was thrown back against the wall from the jolt.
Broadway said, "Hudson!" and bent down to see if he was okay.
"Aye, lad. I'm fine."
Lexington was in deep thought when he said, "Hmmm. I can probably just defused the electricity like I did while we were trapped in the Hunters' ship with Demona a couple nights ago." He bent down and tore the first layer of metal off of the floor in front of the bars. No wiring. "Well, someone did a good job building this thing." He couldn't find the wires to stop the current of electricity from flowing into the bars.
"So we're stuck here?" Angela asked.
"No," Brooklyn said. "Elisa would never let us be taken away in our sleep. Something's happened. She'll help us find a way out."
"Yes," Goliath added. "Xanatos might even help us."
Brooklyn said, "Maybe this `kidnapping` has to do with what happened last night. I mean, the media did catch us flying away in Xanatos' chopper."
Goliath said, "Yes, but they didn't know it belonged to Xanatos." He looked around at his clan. "Come on, Elisa," he said faintly.
Bronx moaned.

Back in London, Ms. Moneypenny sat at her reception desk doing paperwork and filing for M when a tall, dapper man opened the door. The man tossed his hat completely across the room and it landed on the hat rack. Moneypenny looked up from her work and smiled. "Hello, James. Did you finish up everything you were," she hesitated, "working on?"
British Secret Service Agent 007 James Bond smiled back at her and replied, "As a matter of fact, I didn't."
"Ah. Poor baby," Moneypenny said weakly as she was stuck in a trance from Bond's good looks and charm.
Bond knelt down next to Moneypenny and put his arm around her. "But now I'm all warmed up...for you."
There was a distracting buzz over the intercom and M's voice said, "Moneypenny, is 007 here yet?"
Moneypenny said, "You'd better go, James."
Bond sighed and said, "I suppose." He walked into M's office and saw him sitting behind his desk.
M said, "Have a seat, 007," motioning to the chair on the other side of the desk. Bond sat and M started again, "You have a new assignment." He handed Bond the folder that said `For Your Eyes Only`. Bond opened the folder. M said, "There has been a robbery in New York over in the United States. The group attacked the owner of a skyscraper and stole the gargoyle statues off the top of it. Who ever is in charge of that group plans to use the gargoyles for some purpose."
"Do we know what it is?" Bond asked. "Why he stole the statues, I mean."
"No, 007. That is what you have to find out. All we know is that they have connections with a man living here in England by the name of Sevarius. His photograph his in the briefing." M nodded to the folder.
Bond said, "I found it." He pulled the black and white photograph out and looked at it. It showed a three-quarter view of Dr. Anton Sevarius. His hair was short and he wore a black coat. Putting the picture back into the folder, Bond said, "Is there anything special about these statues? Because it seems like I'm going after thieves."
M said, "007, you won't believe me but," he hesitated, "these statues come to life."
Bond laughed, "I beg your pardon."
M stood up and said, "You will find out for yourself soon enough. Now, go see what Q Branch has for you."
Q Branch is the `branch` of the MI6 that creates all the great gadgets that Bond uses throughout his missions. Later, Bond entered the basement where all the gadgets and devices were made and an old, wrinkled man came walking over toward him. The old man was called Q. "007," he said waving his hand in the air. "Come over here."
Bond walked across the room and there was a large thump next to him. Q pointed to an anvil lying on top of a dummie wearing a vest and said, "Our latest invention. That vest will resist anything. It's crush-proof." The two of them walked over toward a long table. Q said, "Now, 007, watch closely if you would." He picked up a toothpick and slid an ash tray over.
Bond said, "I'm guessing you shouldn't pick your teeth with that."
"Precisely." Q jammed the toothpick into the ash tray and a tiny explosion came out the end of the toothpick. "The smallest explosive we've come up with. It's built into the toothpick. We then put special paper around the inside of the toothpick so that the explosion doesn't go through your hand." There was a large crack in the center of the ash tray. "There are some other things I wanted to show you but first," he paused and pointed to a brand new Porsche, "your car."
Bond smiled.
* * * * * *
"Okay, Mr. X," Detective Matt Bluestone started, "we have a few questions to ask you." He and Elisa were standing in an office talking to Mr. Xanatos who had bandages around his wounded leg.
Elisa said, "And this time you can't say it was an exploding generator. I saw helicopter's out there, Xanatos."
"If you'll let me talk," Xanatos defended himself, "I will explain everything I can."
"Start from the beginning," Elisa said.
"Well," he said, "I was sitting here in my office when these men came into my building, shot my security guard for doing his job and ran up the stairs to Castle Wyvern. Owen, Fox and I tried to stop them but," he motioned to his bandaged leg, "had a little trouble. When the helicopters appeared, they began to lift the Gargoyles off the parapets and took them away."
Matt said, "So, do you have any idea who might have taken them?"
Xanatos said, "Well, at a time like this, Detective, anyone would want to take them. Remember, the Gargoyles are accused of blowing up the clock tower and destroying St. Damian's Cathedral."
Elisa shook her head. "For all we know it could have been Jon Canmore wanting revenge for paralyzing his brother."
"Like I've said before," Xanatos added, "I am very rich and--"
"Yeah, yeah. I know," Elisa interrupted. "And you have a lot of enemies when you're rich." She stood up and began to leave the room when she said, "I think this interview is over." All she wanted to do was get the Gargoyles back.
* * * * * *
Goliath sat in the back of the cage looking at his clan. There wasn't much room in the cage. With seven Gargoyles in it, it got pretty cramped. Suddenly, one side of the cage opened up. Goliath stood up. The wall beyond that lifted and the Gargoyles were looking down a long hallway with something that looked like Central Park at the other end. Goliath looked at the rest of his clan in surprise. A voice over a hidden intercom and said, "Go."
Goliath looked around. "Who are you?"
"Go," the voice said again. "It's safe. You will not be harmed."
"Where are we?" Goliath demanded. "Show youself."
The voice said, "Walk down the corridor."
Goliath hesitated and cautiously walked down the hallway with his clan close behind. When they exited it, they were standing in a large, enclosed room with plants and trees growing in it. "This is your new home," the voice said, "for the time being."

In Manchester, England, Bond pulled into a parking garage in his Posche. He climbed out and locked the car. He headed for the elevator which lifted him into the building above. When the elevator stopped, the doors opened and he walked out. He found himself inside a large party. He put his hands in his pockets and walked across the room full of people. A young blonde woman in a short dress stopped next to him holding a tray of drinks. She smiled and said, "Can I get you anything, sir?"
Bond smiled back and said, "As a matter of fact, you can."
The woman giggled and said, "No, I mean to drink."
Bond said, "Oh." He smiled slyly. "In that case, I'll have a vodka martini, please. Shaken not stirred."
"Right away." The woman walked away.
Bond watched her. `Very nice,` he thought to himself.
"Excuse me," a man's voice said behind him. "Who are you? I don't recall inviting you."
Bond looked at the odd-looking bearded man and said, "The name's Bond, James Bond. And I have an invitation." He pulled a small card out of his suit and showed it to the man.
He gave Bond an awkward look.
Bond asked, "What's your name?"
"Seymour Gold."
"Well, Seymour," Bond said, "you must be a very rich man." Bond was referring to his name: `See-more Gold`.
Gold said, "Yes. Right up there with Bill Gates, Donald Trump and David Xanatos."
Bond said, "Well, I'll see you around." He turned and left the man who was watching him with a wicked eye. Bond thought to himself, `Dr. No, Goldfinger, Mr. Big and now Seymour Gold. Why do all the enemies have such weird names?` He walked across the room and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the waitress with the short dress. She walked over and handed Bond's martini to him with a smile. Bond smiled back and took a sip.
The waitress said, "My name's Elizabeth."
Bond said, "Well, Elizabeth, I'm Bond, Ja--" Beyond the waitress, Bond caught a glimpse of the man in the photograph that was in M's briefing. "James Bond," he continued. "Excuse me. Thank you for the drink." He set the martini back on the tray and walked past the waitress. He brushed by people as he headed toward Sevarius. Acting as if nothing was going on, Bond introduced himself to him. "My name is Bond, James Bond."
"James Bond?" Sevarius questioned. "The Secret Agent for the British Intelegence?"
Bond said, "You've heard of me."
"Yes," Sevarius said, "you are known world-wide, but only by some people."
Bond said, "So, have you done any new scientific research lately?"
"As a matter of fact, I have."
Seymour Gold tapped Sevarius' shoulder and said, "Doctor, we have a slight problem."
"With Nightstone again?" Sevarius said, "Oh. I'm sorry, Mr. Bond. If you'll excuse me..."
"Certainly." Bond watched them walk away. He wandered around the room and found the waitress again. "Elizabeth."
She turned and realized it was Bond. Smiling, "Hello, Mr. Bond. James. May I call you James?"
"You can call me anything you want."
He flirted with the woman for a while until Sevarius returned. "Mr. Bond," he said, "can you come with me please."
Bond followed Sevarius into a small room away from the party. As Bond entered the room, he was hit over the head. He fell and the door slammed behind him. Sevarius, Gold and two goons stood over him.
"Mr. Bond," Gold said, "what do you know of the Doctor's work?"
Standing up, Bond said, "I know about Thailog, the other clones and the mutates in New York." He threw a punch into Sevarius' stomach who doubled over. He pulled his arm back and elbowed one of the goons and broke his nose. Gold grabbed him and the other goon punched him. Bond kicked the goon and flipped Gold over him. Pulling out his silenced pistol, which was a Walther PPK, Bond ran out the door and back into the party.
People saw the gun in his hand and they screamed and ran. Bond ran for the elevator. He entered and pushed the button. As the elevator doors closed, Gold was running toward him. Before they closed completely, Bond fired and shot Gold in the forehead.
The elevator opened and Bond ran across the garage, jumped in his car and sped off.
* * * * * *
Sevarius approached Seymour Gold's dead body. "I can't believe I didn't catch on." He turned and walked away. "How could I have been so stupid. I mentioned `Nightstone`."
* * * * * *
Later, in London, Bond followed M to his office and M said, "007, we have done research on this `Nightstone` you told us about and we have found out what it is. The company is called Nightstone Unlimited. It is owned by Dominique Destine and Alexander Thailog."
"Thailog?" Bond questioned. Thailog was one of the clones that Dr. Sevarius had created. Did the clone have something to do with Nightstone?
"Yes, Thailog. But no one has ever seen him. He supposedly does the `behind-the-scenes` work." M handed Bond a piece of paper with an address on it. "This is the address for Nightstone Unlimited. It's in Paris, France. You are booked on the next flight out of London."
* * * * * *
Goliath landed on a stone path that led through the trees and plants where his clan awaited him. Brooklyn asked, "We didn't find anything. There's no way outta here."
Goliath said, "Yes. All the walls are at least three feet thick, and it is tough to dig through steel. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to put us here." He looked around not seeing any windows. "I just hope we are safe here for the day." As he finished the sentence, the sun came up outside and the Gargoyles inside turned to stone.
* * * * * *
Later that afternoon in France, Bond stood outside the building that said `Nightstone Unlimited` across the front. He opened the doors and walked in. He approached the receptionists desk and said, "Excuse me, where can I find Mr. Thailog or Ms. Destine?"
The woman smiled and, distracted by Bond's good looks, said, "Do you have an appointment, sir?"
"Uh... No, I don't," he said. "But I'm sure you can fit me into your schedule." Bond smiled at the woman.
"I'm Ms. Destine," a voice came from across the reception area. Bond turned to see an attractive red-head wearing a business suit walking toward him.
"Ah, Ms. Destine. My name is Bond, James Bond. I need to speak with you for a moment."
"Alright. Follow me." Bond followed Ms. Destine down a hallway, up an elevator and into an office. She said, "We have been expecting you, Mr. Bond."
"Really... Does that mean you are in league with Dr. Sevarius?"
"As a matter of fact," she said, "it does." She sat behind her desk and motioned for Bond to sit in the chair across from her. Bond refused to sit. "What's the matter, Mr. Bond?"
"I just want to know one thing..."
"Which is...?"
Bond said, "You kidnapped the Gargoyles from Manhattan, didn't you? So that you could clone them, and that's why you needed Sevarius' help."
Ms. Destine stood up. "Mr. Bond--"
He immediately pulled out his silenced PPK and aimed at her head. "Who are you working for?"
"What makes you think I'm working for anyone?"
"A beautiful woman like yourself couldn't have done all this alone."
Ms. Destine walked around the desk and approached Bond. "Well," she started, knowing how easily Bond falls for a woman, "you would be surprised at what I am capable of."
Lowering his pistol, he said, "Will you show me?"
"Only if you put the gun down." She kissed him.
Bond dropped his pistol and whispered, "Tell me who you are working for."
She whispered into his ear, "SPECTRE." Bond threw his arms around her and kissed her.
* * * * * *
Down at the reception desk, a call came in for Dominique Destine. The receptionist answered the phone, "Hello, Nightstone Unlimited. Can I help you?"
"This is Dr. Anton Sevarius. May I speak to Ms. Destine?"
"One moment please." The receptionist dialed up Ms. Destine's office and listened to it ring and ring and ring.
The phone continued to ring when Ms. Destine stepped away from Bond. She answered the phone and said, "Not now, I'm busy. Take a message." She hung up and looked out the window. The sun was about to set.
Bond walked up to her and said, "Now, where were we?"
The sunlight disappeared from the room and Ms. Destine bent forward, moaning. Bond went around the desk and picked up his gun. Her skin began to turn blue. Her feet busted out of her shoes and they grew talons. The same happened with her hands. Fangs grew out of her mouth and wings and a tail shot out of her back. Her light blue business suit had tears in it. The `monster` straightened and turned around to look at Bond.
Bond said with a shaky voice, "What are you?"
She said, "I am Demona!"
"Well," Bond said, "you're not like any other girl I've been with. May Day, Pussy Galore, Mary Goodnight, Melina and now Demona. You sure do take the cake. So, you're a Gargoyle."
"Yes, and now you will perish!" Demona lunged over the desk at Bond but he rolled out of the way just in time. Bond fired a few bullets but Demona dodged them successfully. She lunged again at Bond and caught him that time. Demona pinned him to the floor and squeezed his throat tighter and tighter. Bond pulled at her hands trying to breathe. She was too strong. He moved his hands downward and grabbed the belt on Demona's torn business suit. He unhooked the belt but kept it through the loop. He coughed and almost passed out but fought it. With one hand on the loop of the belt and the other on the end that was loosened, he pulled. The belt tightened on Demona's stomach and she let go of Bond and fiddled with the belt. Bond caught his breath and, staggering, stood up. He threw a punch at Demona but she caught his fist. He threw a jab into her stomach which she caught as well. Bond walked forward forcing Demona backward. He gave her one last push backward and shoved her right out the window shattering it. Demona fell as she spread her wings and righted herself.
Back inside the office, Bond pulled his cuffs down and straightened his tie. He calmly left the office and exited the building.

"Matt, what're we gonna do?" Elisa sat in her apartment across the table from her partner Matt.
"Elisa," he said, "don't worry. We'll find them."
"It's just that... They've been through so much the last couple of days."
"And so have we," Matt said. Elisa looked up at him. "You were drugged and almost drowned. You're the one who has been through a whole heck of a lot." Elisa looked away. "Elisa, get some sleep."
"You're right," Elisa stood up and walked across the apartment.
* * * * * *
"So it is our old enemies who are behind all this," M repeated.
"Yes." Bond said, "SPECTRE: Special Executive for Counterintelegence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion."
"It must be Ernst Blofeld."
"I killed him off long ago. But it has to be him. How has he come back?" Bond thought for a minute.
M said, "Well, there's no time for that now." He pointed at Bond. "You are on your way to the United States, 007."

Goliath and his clan awoke to find themself in the exact same spot they were the night before. They were still trapped in the huge room. Goliath thought to himself, `Come on, Elisa.`

The next day, Bond stepped out of the airport and looked around for a taxi. "You lookin' fer a ride?" A big, ugly man yelled from across the lane outside the airport. Bond dodged cars and reached the man.
"Do you know how to get to the Eyrie Building?" Bond asked.
"Sher do. Hop in."
Bond waited for the man to take his briefcase. The man just got back in the car. Bond shook his head and climbed into the back seat. "I love the States," he mumbled sarcastically.
The taxi drove off and got on the freeway from the airport. Why you goin' ta Xanatos' building?" the man asked.
"Business," was the only word that Bond said. The taxi exited the freeway after a while and entered the streets of busy, and chaotic, Manhattan. Through the stop-and-go traffic, Bond said, "Excuse me. You missed the turn. The Eyrie Building is back that way."
"We ain't goin' there." The man continued to drive.
Bond looked at the back of the man's head. He looked out the window then ahead at the dashboard. The picture of the driver on the card, which sat on the dash, was not the same man driving the taxi. Bond began to suspect something was wrong. He reached over for the door handle and the lock immediately went down. "You ain't gettin' outta here alive, bud." The taxi pulled to a stop at a red light.
Bond pulled out his trusty PPK and stuck the end of it in the back of the man's neck. "The name's not `Bud`. Now pull over."
The man spun around and took a swing at Bond who leaned back to dodge the blow. He shot the man in the head and turned back to the door. Pulling on the doorlock, Bond realized there was some mechanism in it. It wouldn't open. He laid down on the seat and kicked the window, shattering it. He climbed out, leaving his briefcase behind, as the light turned green. Cars behind him honked and the drivers swore at him as Bond straightened his suit and put his gun away. Walking over to the sidewalk, he said again, "I love the States."
* * * * * *
Elisa and Matt pulled up to the Eyrie Building and they sat in the car for a minute. Elisa said, "Let's see if Xanatos has heard anything yet."
"Elisa," Matt responded, "he said that he'd call us." He saw Elisa lean back in her seat, depressed. He said, "I'm worried about the guys too, Elisa, but... I think you're worrying about it too much. They'll be okay. We'll find them." He put his hand on Elisa's shoulder to comfort her. It helped Elisa...but only a little.
Elisa noticed a man in a suit running across the street through traffic. The suit stuck out like a soar thumb in Manhattan. No one who wondered the streets ever dressed like that. Someone jumped out of one of the cars in the traffic jam and hit the man in the suit over the head. Leaving Matt behind, Elisa climbed out of the car and ran for the man in the suit. It was her cop instinct. "Hey! NYPD! Stop!" Elisa pulled out her pistol as she ran. Another man grabbed her from behind and climbed into a different car. She struggled as the man took her gun away. Suddenly, she was hit over the head as well...and she went out cold.
Both cars, carrying Elisa and James Bond, sped off before Matt could reach them. He swore.

"Ah, Mr. Bond, you have finally come-to."
Bond heard the voice as his eyes opened slowly. His head hurt. It was pounding. Despite the pain, he managed to recognize the voice. He looked over at the fifty to sixty-year-old bald man sitting in a chair across from him. "Blofeld," Bond said standing up. He bent over letting the blood flow back into his head. He felt dizzy.
"Yes, Mr. Bond. We meet again."
Bond straightened slowly and found himself inside a large room. "Well, Blofeld," he started, "you've done alright for yourself since the last time I killed you."
"You are mistaken. You only THOUGHT you killed me. But thank you for the compliment on my home."
Bond put his hands in his pockets and paced across the room. "You are very clever, Blofeld. Using Demona to get to Sevarius." Bond stopped, looked at Blofeld and went into an explanation, "Demona and Sevarius worked together a few days ago, on the night of the Hunter's Moon, to create the human-destroying virus to spread across the planet." He paused, then continued, "Now, you wanted Sevarius to clone, or mutate, creatures for you to control and take over the world. So you hired Demona to get to Sevarius and Demona just thinks that she's getting revenge by kidnapping the Gargoyles. But the only reason you kidnapped them was for Sevarius...so he could get tissue samples to work with. So, in short, you're only USING Sevarius and Demona is worthless to you. After you have your clones, you will kill them off."
Blofeld smiled. "Well," he started as he stood up out of his chair, "you've been doing your homework, Mr. Bond."
A door across the room opened and Elisa was escorted in by two men. Blofeld said to Bond, "Who's you're friend? She was trying to interfere when we--"
"Who are you? What do you want?" Elisa demanded, interrupting Blofeld.
Bond said, "I've never seen her before in my life."
Blofeld stared at her. "Who are you?" he asked with a calm voice. Elisa didn't answer. Blofeld said, "She knows nothing of the Gargoyles. Dispose of her."
"The Gargoyles?!" Elisa blurted out in a hurry.
Blofeld looked at her. "So, you DO know them."
Elisa said, "I'm their..." she hesitated, "friend." She only gave out her secret to save the Gargoyles.
Bond glanced at Blofeld and back at Elisa. He said, "Can we see them?"
Blofeld shrugged his shoulders. "Why not. I'll allow the both of you that last request." The two men loosened their grip on Elisa. She followed Blofeld with Bond close behind. A hidden door in the wall slid open and the three of them walked through it. They were standing in the large room that now housed the Gargoyles. Elisa noticed a shadow above.
"Elisa!!" Goliath swooped down for a landing and Elisa leaped into his arms. The other Gargoyles soon arrived. Bond was stunned. He saw Demona but she looked different than these new ones. And Demona wore more clothes than them.
"Magnificent, aren't they, Mr. Bond?" Blofeld noticed the look on Bond's face.
Brooklyn and Broadway lunged and pinned Bond and Blofeld to the wall. Brooklyn's eyes glowed as he stared into Bond's. "I ought to kill you right now."
"No. I'm here to save you. He's the one you want," Bond said nodding toward Blofeld.
All of a sudden, two machine guns extended downward from the ceiling and turned to fire at the Gargoyles. The winged Gargoyles jumped and glided off. Goliath carried Elisa with him while Bronx ran off. Bond ducked and successfully dodged the bullets as Blofeld ran back through the door. Bond got to his feet and slipped through the door behind Blofeld just before it closed. Bond took a flying leap toward Blofeld and tackled him to the floor. He pulled out his PPK and shoved it underneath his enemy's chin. "You're not going anywhere," he said.
"Hmm..." Blofeld commented. "I should have searched you when my men brought you here."
The two men who had held Elisa entered the room and fired shotguns at Bond. Bond rolled behind the chair that was next to him pulling Blofeld with him. "Call your men off," Bond said to Blofeld. "Or I'll kill you right now."
Blofeld said, "It doesn't matter. If you kill me my plan will still be carried out."
"By whom? Demona? Sevarius?"
Goliath suddenly busted through the hidden door and leaped across the room knocking the two men over. Elisa ran through behind him and aimed her pistol at Bond and Blofeld. "Freeze!"
Blofeld said, "I should have searched her too."

Back in the large room with plant life, Lex glided upward and grabbed hold of one of the two machine guns. Brooklyn grabbed the other. The machine guns automatically aimed at each other as they searched for the Gargoyles. Lex and Brooklyn jumped off of them as the guns fired on each other and blew themselves up. As he landed next to Brooklyn, Lexington said, "It's amazing how often that move works."
Brooklyn said, "Yeah. Now let's go help Goliath." The rest of the clan went into the other room to help Goliath as tons of Blofeld's goons arrived. It soon turned into an all-out brawl. Elisa left Bond and Blofeld to help fight.
A man jumped on Bond pinning him down which allowed Blofeld to escape. Bond kneed the goon in the groin and he rolled over in pain. Bond picked up his gun and stood up. Blofeld was gone. Bond swore and ran through the chaotic room and left to find Blofeld.
Goliath threw a goon over his shoulder and turned to yell at two members of his clan. "Broadway. Angela. Follow him."
Without a response, they obeyed.
Hudson drew his sword and slashed at a few goons while Bronx growled and chewed up their weapons. "Thanks, boy." Hudson saw more men come running in. He said, "We'll be sitting ducks, right enough. Let's go!" He and Bronx lunged at them.

Bond followed Blofeld into a small room with a lot of scientific equipment. There were two tables with beakers and flasks on them. The flasks all had bubbling liquid in them. Bond said, "Come out, Blofeld. I know you're in here." He drew his gun and cautiously walked up to one of the tables. The table flipped over toward him and he jumped back as the liquids spilled out in front of him. Blofeld had pushed it over. He started to run away but Bond fired. He was out of bullets! He quickly reached into his suit and pulled out a toothpick. Flicking it toward Blofeld, he caught him in the shoulder. The tiny explosion ripped through Blofeld's arm. Blofeld winced and grabbed his wound. He fell backward and landed next to the other table. Bond walked toward him just as Blofeld reached up and grabbed a flask. He threw it at Bond who easily dodged it.
Blofeld murmured, "It's not over yet, Mr. Bond."
"Oh, but it is." He pushed the table over and the flasks shattered. The liquid came in contact with Blofeld's skin which made it sizzle and change colors. Blofeld yelled out in pain. His skin was bubbling and became deformed. Bond said, "Well, you wanted mutates." He turned and, putting his gun away, left the room just as Broadway and Angela arrived.
Angela saw Blofeld's ugly, deformed body and gasped. Bond said, "Don't look." As the three of them left, the room exploded. Bond smiled and said to Broadway and Angela, "Wrong chemicals." They went back to where Goliath and Elisa were. Unbelievably, the clan had taken care of all the goons.
Elisa looked at Broadway and asked, "What happened to that man?"
Bond responded with his usual whitty comments. "He gave his life for science."
Goliath said to Bond, "Thank you, whoever you are, for saving me and my clan."
"You're welcome," Bond said. "And my name is Bond, James Bond."
Elisa smiled and fell into Goliath's arms. They were finally back together. Bond commented, "Wait a minute. You mean to tell me that you would rather be with this...Gargoyle...than me?"
Brooklyn laid a hand on Bond's shoulder and smiled. "Sorry."
Bond shook his head and said for a third time, "I love the States."
Bond looked at Angela as if he was asking her to--
"She's taken as well," Broadway said.
Bond shook his head again. "I always get the girl at the end of a mission."
Elisa walked over to Bond and kissed him on the cheek. "That has to be good enough," she said.
Bond shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I'm just glad that I got all of you back together again." He turned and started to leave because his mission was over. Then stopped for a moment to say on last thing. He smiled. "Just remember, James Bond will return."
