History:

Artemis was specially ordered by Nate Lovecraft for the sole reason that he loved classic cars of the 1960’s and 1970’s, his favorite being the Pontiac GTO. However, to use it as a write-off on the tax returns, he had to use her chiefly for work, and that meant adding the computer-guidance system issued by the police department at the time. The C-G system he recieved, however, was glitched, and gave the car a little more... personality. Artemis, named after the C-G system type, is a smart-alec just like Nate, though she tends to be on the sardonic side. She has an animosity with Fords.

Powers, Abilities and Weaknesses:

Artemis is a 1967 Pontiac GTO body with an enhanced titanium-alloy chassis, with a front engine, rear drive, 426 HO engine, Ram-Air V8, 16-valve, four-speed manual transmission, two-door, and five-passenger. It has an Artemis-class computer with voice activation and AI. In spite of popular questions, Artemis cannot drive herself. She (as a computer) is strictly for guidance, & police actions, such as Activate Sirens and Flashers, Activate Barricade, and Activate Vertigo (for crowd control). She (as a whole) is a high-performance car and can do a standing quarter-mile in under 10 seconds at 120 mph. 0-60 mph acceleration is 5.2 seconds, 60-0 bracing is 90 feet, 600 foot slalom speed is 87.8 mph. EPA fuel economy mpg is 40 city/48 highway. Her fuel system consists of two power sources: unleaded gasoline 15 gallon tank (not the reformulated stuff, or else she'll pull her Valium act) and a back-up electric generator good for twelve hours before requiring recharge. She has a very touchy clutch, one only Nate can figure out.
