Brentwood is a clone of Lexington, created by Dr. Anton Sevarius for Thailog and Demona, for their Clone Clan. He was grown to what Lexington's physical peak age would be, but the rapid growth left him altered from the form of the original source, most notably in that he was significantly miscolored. Demona named him, and Thailog programmed him simply- he was to 'obey Thailog.' Like the rest of the Clone Clan, Brentwood was sent against the Manhattan Clan, but he was defeated. Talon adopted the Clone Clan, and planned to teach them to think for themselves.
In the Goliath Chronicles, Brentwood contracted a degenerative virus that was supposedly the result of a flaw in the cloning process. The Manhattan Clan brought the Clone Clan to Dr. Sevarius for help, but he tricked them into chasing after an escaping Thailog, and, while doing so, Brentwood petrified. His statue was placed atop a building, awaiting the time when a cure for their condition can be found.
Brentwood was physically identical to Lexington, and possessed the same traits and abilities as he and any other gargoyle possess. He had wings that ran from his wrists to his thighs that enabled him to glide, fangs, sharp claws and talons that could dig into stone, a prehensile tail, and eyes that glowed when he was enraged. However, Brentwood's eyes glowed red, not white, as most male gargoyles' do. Because he was at Lexington's physical peak, he was somewhat stronger than the gargoyle he was cloned from. He also had a spiked ball on the end of his tail, apparently an addition by Sevarius to make him more deadly. When the sun rose, Brentwood entered a regenerative 'stone sleep,' during which his wounds healed at a faster rate.
