Tomas Brod is a crime lord from Prague, in the Czech Republic. He led a crime wave on that city which left many citizens in fear. In late 1995 he was hired by Cyberbiotics CEO Halcyon Renard to steal the Golem, which he did. In return, he was given a Cyberbiotics hovercraft. Brod's reign of terror was halted, however, by the Avalon travelers, and Max Loew, who had reacquired the Golem and activated it to defend Prague.

His Prague operations destroyed by the travelers and the Golem, Brod made an attempt to take over the New York City crime scene from resident boss Tony Dracon. The result was a turf war. Jack Danforth, the son of former NYC crime lord Mace Malone, joined his gang. Elisa Maza infiltrated the gang under a blonde wig and the alias of Salli. With the help of the Trio and Angela, Brod's forces were eventually captured when they attempted to assassinate Dracon to destroy the unity of his organization. Brod was last seen in a fistfight with Dracon, whom he was forced to share a prison cell with.

Tomas Brod is an athletic and healthy human male with no superhuman abilities.
