Charles Canmore was a descendant of the Canmore family of Scotland, and thus carried on the tradition of being the Hunter. For his entire life, he searched for the "Demon," better known as Demona. He had three children, Jason, Robyn, and Jon.

On September 28, 1980- the Hunter's Moon- Charles finally confronted her atop Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. However, he was thrown by the immortal gargoyle from the structure, falling to his death before his children's shocked eyes. They devoted themselves thereafter to avenging him.

Charles Canmore was a normal but powerful human, a skilled fighter and proficient with many weapons.
