Cyberbiotics is a corporation founded by Halcyon Renard, primarily for the purpose of providing for his daughter, Janine. Renard's primary administrator and aide-de-camp is Preston Vogel. Cyberbiotics is involved in several fields such as aeronautics and genetics, but its most advanced field is robotics. They are one of the primary competitors of Xanatos Enterprises. Two of Renard's employees, Dr. Anton Sevarius and Owen Burnett, both went to work for Xanatos. Three major facilities were located in New York City- the Cyberbiotics tower on an small island off the coast of Manhattan, a subterranean complex beneath Manhattan, and the Cyberbiotics Air Fortress.
The company was impacted financially by the gargoyles' misunderstood attacks upon the three main facilities. As a result, the underground facility was abandoned, and the Air Fortress sunk into New York Harbor. Using his personal fortune, Renard constructed a new Air Fortress, Fortress Two, and had it piloted and defended by a veritable army of advanced robots called Cybots. A hostile takeover attempt by his daughter, now named Fox, with the help of Preston Vogel, resulted in the near destruction of both Fortress Two and the Cyberbiotics tower. Fortunately, this was averted by Goliath and Vogel, who, at the last minute, had a change of heart.
Cyberbiotics attempted to build a facility in the Guatemalan rain forest, under the supervision of Vogel, but the construction site quickly became the source of attacks by the local gargoyle clan, who were trying to protect the forest. Vogel hired the mercenaries Jackal and Hyena to take out the Guatemalan clan, but they were eventually defeated with the help of the Avalon travelers. This convinced Vogel that the the project was no longer feasible, and he nixed the rain forest project.
Cyberbiotics is still currently an active corporation.
