Delilah is a hybrid clone created by Dr. Anton Sevarius for Thailog, using the combined DNA of Demona and Elisa Maza. She was subliminally programmed to be Thailog's perfect companion, totally obedient to him, although apparently having more intelligence than the other clones Thailog had had created. Thailog concealed her existence from Demona, presumably until Demona turned against him as he assumed she eventually would. When she opted to attack Thailog to protect her daughter Angela, Thailog revealed Delilah to her, and basically informed her that Delilah was her replacement. He ordered Delilah to kill Angela for him, but Demona released the clan before she could. As the Manhattan clan and their opponents, as well as the other combatants, left the room the Manhattan clan was imprisoned in, Delilah and Angela battled, and Angela defeated her. After the apparent death of Thailog, Delilah and the other clones were taken down to the Labyrinth to stay with Talon and the mutates. Talon promised to teach them to think for themselves.
In the Goliath Chronicles, Delilah, along with the other clones, contracted a degenerative disease as a result of an imperfection in the cloning process. Goliath and the rest of the Manhattan Clan took the clones to Dr. Sevarius in the hopes that he'd cure them, but the 'cure' was 'stolen' from him by Thailog, who was similarly inflicted. Sevarius tricked them into chasing after Thailog, and, while in pursuit of him, they all eventually succumbed to the disease, and turned to stone, possibly forever. Delilah was the last of the clones to petrify. After the remainder of the crisis with Sevarius, the stone Delilah, along with the rest of the clone clan and Thailog, were perched on top of a skyscraper, to remain there until a cure for their condition could be found.
In Greg Weisman's Master Plan, Delilah would have continued to grow, and she would have gone out with Goliath on a double date with Elisa and either Jason Canmore or Morgan. She would also have re-encountered Thailog, though the details of this meeting are sketchy. By 2198, Delilah would have had a descendent sharing the same name.
Delilah has all the abilities and traits normally possessed by gargoyles, including claws, talons, wings that enable her to glide, eyes that glow when she is enraged, a prehensile tail, and strength significantly greater than that of the average human. It is unknown if she enters the "stone sleep" that full gargoyles enter during the day, but, at least in the Goliath Chronicles, she had the capability of turning to an organic stone-like substance. She also presumably has some warrior skills programmed into her by Thailog, as she seemed capable of handling laser weaponry.
