Dingo is originally Harry Monmouth, of Australia. His activities before he joined the Pack are unknown, but he apparently was a mercenary, and may have been in South America. When he joined the Pack, his name became Dingo. He enjoyed playing the part of a superhero, and being the idol of many, but he began to itch for real action again, as did the rest of the Pack. When the group proceeded on their disastrous hunt of Goliath and Lexington, only he and the twins Jackal and Hyena escaped capture.
He stayed in hiding for some time, until he was contacted by Coyote, who took him to Riker's Island and freed Wolf, Jackal, and Hyena with his help. The re-assembled Pack- with Coyote, revealed to be "David Xanatos," as their new leader- faced off against the gargoyles again on an oil tanker. Coyote was revealed to be an android, and the tanker was set aflame, but the four original Pack members escaped capture and left in their former leader's hovercraft.
The Pack laid low for a while, before attempting to rob a bank. Dingo was growing rather disgusted with his teammates, and disliked having to resort to common crime. Still, he was the only one who managed to get away with the money when the Manhattan clan attacked, as well as hitting Goliath with an electrical device of some sort that seriously hurt him. Soon afterwards, the Pack was offered an "upgrade" by Coyote's disembodied head on behalf of Xanatos. They accepted, and Dingo opted for the non-invasive upgrade of a suit of robotic armor. He helped the improved Pack capture Goliath, Hudson, Elisa, and Bronx, but the things his fellow-members had done to themselves distanced him further from them. However, he was captured along with the remainder of the Pack.
He eventually regained his freedom (likely thanks to Xanatos), but, instead of going with the Pack to Egypt, he broke from them and traveled to the Australian outback, with two purposes- one, to work for Fox and her mother, Anastasia Renard, in guarding the test area for the Matrix, and two, to sort out things with his life, and find what path he should choose. For the second goal, he sought out an Aborigine Shaman, who advised him to go on the Walkabout, a period of time surviving alone in the outback, during which he could meditate on things.
However, his time in Australia was disrupted by the arrival of the Avalon travellers, and the rebellion of the Matrix, which intended to cover the entire planet, and restructure it to perfect order. To defeat the Matrix, Dingo and Goliath were sent by the Shaman to the parallel dimension known as the Dreamtime, where they battled the collective intelligence on the mental plane. Eventually, the two were able to convince the Matrix of the error of its ways, and Dingo suggested a new type of order to follow- law and order. Satisfied with this idea, the Matrix ceased its plan, and merged with Dingo's armor, making the pair Australia's newest superhero.
In Greg Weisman's Master Plan, Dingo, with the Matrix, would join the Bad Guys, along with Fang and Yama, under the leadership of Robyn Canmore, who in turn recieved orders from the mysterious Director. He was coerced to do this with the threat of being brought back to the United States, where, despite his heroic status in his homeland, he was still a wanted criminal. A sort of romantic relationship would eventually develop between him and the team's leader. Eventually he and Robyn would have married, and their descendents; the Monmouths would have been at odds with the Castaways.
Dingo has always been a skilled fighter, and is proficient in the usage of a disparate variety of weapons, including handguns, grenades, and boomerangs.
The robotic armor he wore was tough enough to resist a direct punch from Goliath, enhanced his strength to match the gargoyle leader, had flight capability, and was armed with a repulsor beam that pushed objects away, as well as the usual Xanatos arm-cannon. The suit also had a remote control to run systems checks and summon the armor to him when he was not in it, a remote computer modem to transfer data, and the helmet contained devices to analyze and magnify objects within visual range.
It is unknown what changes were made in the armor when it merged with the Matrix, but it likely enhanced its abilities even further, as well as adding to it the limitless abilities of that collective entity.
