During the Third Crusade, Jason Evermore was formally accepted as a Soldier of the Church. Raised in a monastery, he was among the noblest souls on the journey to Jerusalem. A few days after arriving, he was slain in battle. The same night (no pun intended) he was set back on Earth, in a new, divinely improved body, and a Quest to take him around the world in persecution of an ancient Evil, from the last days of Atlantis.
Sometime in the past, Jason Evermore was exposed to a temporal glitch and transported to the court of Arthur Pendragon, briefly after his final battle. As Arthur was shipped off to Avalon, Evermore met with Sir Lancelot, still alive and well, to discuss the protection and guarding of The Holy Grail. Together, they formed an Enlightened Society (ring any bells) to safekeep the Grail, until such a day would come when humanity was sufficiently noble and peaceful that the Grail could be revealed to the public. To this end, the Illuminati have taken to some degree control of the world, carefully guiding it to a better future as best they can. Shortly afterwards, Jason Evermore was caught up in another temporal glitch and returned to the moment he was sent to the past. There he was met by Lancelot, who was still functioning as Grandmaster of the Illuminati Society. At present, Evermore is in function as the First Circle Grandmaster, with Lancelot calmly working as a second. To all ends, Evermore is leader in name only, if even that. The Grandmaster is the effective leader.
Jason Evermore is still wandering in search of an eighth stone, a gem of darkness. When that gem is found, they shall together be destroyed at an ancient place of power... and wether he survives or not, has yet to be seen.
Jason Evermore is a Paladin, with the healing and regenerative abilities
that "follow the job" Furthermore, he is immortal, and cannot be efficiently
harmed by conventional or unconventional means. But, like Demona
or MacBeth, he may be temporarily disabled. He
has a calm personality, and it takes a lot of work to anger him. Which,
ultimately, is not a good idea. On occasion, he may behave like a religious
zeal. He has few weak spots, and lacks entirely the touch of paranoia that
MacBeth seems to have acquired over the centuries, the protectiveness of
his secret. He does not care for secrecy regarding himself, but may on
occasion be a bit enigmatic in his quotes.
