History:

Fang was one of the four humans transformed into mutates by Dr. Anton Sevarius of Gen-U-Tech. He quickly adapted to his new form, and soon preferred his mutate form over his human form. At first, he followed Talon, attacking the gargoyles with the other mutates when they came to Castle Wyvern to help Maggie Reed. He also left with Talon when he led the other mutates away from Castle Wyvern.

During their time away from Xanatos, he and the other mutates mutated further into their current forms. He took the new name of Fang. He also became the wiseguy of the mutates, cracking jokes all the time.

When the mutates returned to Castle Wyvern and Xanatos, he continued to follow Talon. He, along with Maggie Reed and Claw, set a trap for Goliath at the clock tower. They were driven away by the Trio. He also helped out when Talon attacked Sevarius and Goliath in the underground lab they were in. He, like Talon, refused Sevarius's offer of a false cure, saying that he liked his new life.

Fang moved into the Labyrinth with the other mutates, but soon became power-hungry. He organized a gang with Claw, who was too afraid of him to refuse, and two human criminals as members. He began shaking down the homeless humans who had taken refuge in the Labyrinth, getting things from them.

When Brooklyn came down into the Labyrinth to ask Talon if he knew anything about the recently-disappeared Goliath, Elisa, and Bronx, he caught Fang shaking down a homeless man named Al. He tackled Fang, but Talon broke up the fight. Fang lied and said that Brooklyn had attacked him for no reason, but Talon pretty much disregarded him. Later, Fang said comments to Talon intended to make him angry enough to attack Xanatos, and, Fang hoped, would get him killed. While Talon led the Manhattan Clan against Xanatos, one of Fang's gang found a laser weapons cache in (presumably) a room in the subterranean Cyberbiotics lab. Using these weapons and the invulnerable container they were contained in, he and his gang captured the homeless people and put Maggie Reed in the container. When Talon returned, he tried to defeat Fang, and during the ensuing battle, Claw released Maggie so she could get the Manhattan Clan's help. Talon was imprisoned, but the Manhattan Clan helped overthrow Fang, and he was incarcerated for his crimes.

A few months later, Fang got a fellow inmate- Demona. When Demona broke out with Thailog's help, she took Fang with them, saying that "he's a fool, but he may be of some use." He helped Thailog, Demona, and the Clone Clan against Talon and the Manhattan Clan, but was ultimately defeated again and reincarcerated.

In Greg Weisman's Master Plan, Fang would've eventually joined the group known as the Bad Guys under the leadership of Robyn Canmore, one of the former Hunters, on missions from their mysterious "Director."

Powers, Abilities, and Weaknesses:

Fang has all the abilities of the mutates- superhuman strength and gliding ability like a gargoyle, and the ability to generate electrical energy in blasts. This came from the DNA of jungle cats, bats, and electrical eels, combined with his own human DNA. The eel DNA was necessary to provide the energy needed to support a creature like a gargoyle.
