Other Appearances: "The Gathering" Part II
Fortress Two was Cyberbiotics' successor to the Fortress One airship, destroyed in 1994 by Demona. Halcyon Renard was forced to invest much of his personal fortune in the ship, thus making it probably the most important asset in all of Cyberbiotics. This is what made it a target of Xanatos Enterprises- more specifically, that of Renard's daughter, Fox.
The ship was fully automated, its crew being composed of robots called Cybots- Renard felt human error had in part led to the destruction of Fortress One, and wanted to eliminate the factors that destroyed that vessel. After its maiden voyage, human scientists would move into the onboard labs to pursue various courses of research. However, Fox bribed Preston Vogel, Renard's aide-de-camp, to infect the Cybots with a virus that would cause them to crash the ship on its first outing into Station 1, the Cyberbiotics Tower. The ship was launched, with the only humans aboard being Halcyon Renard and Vogel. Fortunately for Renard, Goliath had followed the ship, expecting trouble to befall it. Despite his capture, Goliath helped Renard save his ship- but it was Vogel, having a change of heart, that was the final saving factor.
Renard used Fortress Two and its legions of Cybots against Oberon when he tried to steal Alexander Xanatos. Oberon eventually took the ship down with a storm of freezing rain, and it crashed in Central Park. Both Renard and the ship survived.
