Gunther Sturlisson is the son of Erik Sturlisson. He plays some sort of team sport, and learned about the Norse gods in school, including Odin.
In 1996, while driving home with his father from a game, they encountered Elisa Maza, unprotected from the elements and freezing. They took her to their farm, where she told them she had been hiking and got lost. Gunther, noting her lack of a parka, was suspicious, but Erik advised his son not to pry.
Soon, they found themselves dragged into the Avalon travellers' battle with Odin, and Gunther tagged along with his father and the others, led by an Eye of Odin-empowered Goliath as they went into a cave to hide from Odin's alleged rage. Goliath eventually revealed that, using the Eye of Odin's power, he had led them into the cave with false storms, supposedly for their protection. He sealed them in while he went to engage Odin in battle.
Gunther helped push the boulder out of the mouth of the cave that was keeping them in, and remained with his father and new friends after Goliath's restoration to his normal self until they all left. He is probably still with his father on their farm in Norway.
Like his father, Gunther Sturlisson had a strong will. Otherwise, he was a normal human pre-adolescent, with some skill in sports.
