History:

Jerry Pearson was born in 1975 in Tennesee, where he was also raised. He attended the University of Tennessee on a football scholarship, performing in the position of running back. After listening to Diane Maza, who was a touring lecturer at that time, Jerry began taking writing classes. He enjoyed writing fiction, but he found reality to be far more interesting, and ended up majoring in journalism. He graduated in the top five-percent of his class, and soon afterwards, he was hired by the New York Sentinel newspaper, and became one of their newest reporters. As the "cub reporter" of the Sentinel, he was assigned to the police beat. He was in the 23rd Precinct House when its clock tower was destroyed by the missile fired by the Hunters, and thus was present for the resulting destruction.

In his off hours, Jerry still enjoys reading, both fiction and non-fiction alike. One of his favorite authors is Jeffrey Robbins. He is fascinated by the Gargoyles, but is still unsure what to make of them. At present, he is still on the police beat, and is somewhat taken with Detective Elisa Maza.

Jerry was involved in reporting on the actions of anti-gargoyle rabble-rouser David G. Cohn, and clashing pro-gargoyle & anti-gargoyle rioters during the events centered around the terrorist actions of "Phoenix Rising."

He appears as follows. He is a tall (6 feet, 3 inches) black man, with close-cut curly hair. On the job, he dresses professionally in a dark black sportcoat and slacks with a grey turtleneck. Off the job, he normally just wears jeans and his University of Tennessee sweatshirt. He possesses a bright and jovial manner that offsets his rather imposing figure, and his voice is in the baritone range.

A special note:

The Jerry Pearson from the Gargoyles Saga is based upon a real person known by TGS writer Thomas F. Revor Jr. For more information on the REAL Jerry Pearson, go here.

Powers, Abilities and Weaknesses:

Jerry Pearson is a normal human with no superhuman abilities. However, since he was a football player in college, he likely is a rather athletic man. He has no known special skills in combat or other areas, save that he is an excellent journalist and writer.
