Katana is Brooklyn's future mate. He would have met her during his 'TimeDancer' journey in feudal Japan, and afterwards, she would've accompanied him on his travels through time with the Phoenix Gate. Eventually, a relationship would've blossomed between the two, and they would've become mates. They would have had two children, Nashville and Tachi, and adopted a gargoyle beast, named Fu-Dog. Katana, Brooklyn, and their family would've returned to 20th century Manhattan eventually, and would've remained in the present, joining with the Manhattan Clan.
Katana possesses all the normal abilities and traits of gargoyles, including wings that enable her to glide, claws, talons, a prehensile tail, and eyes that glow red when she is enraged. During the day, she enters a regenerative "stone sleep," during which she turns into an organic stone-like substance and heals at a faster rate.
