Margot Yale is the Assistant District Attorney of New York City, and is married to Brendan. She and her husband have had the unusual luck to accidentally encounter the gargoyles and related weirdness several times since the Manhattan Clan's awakening in 1994.
Their first encounter occured when their car broke down in a bad part of town. A group of thugs harassed them, but they were saved by Elisa Maza and Goliath. However, Goliath scared them so badly that they ran away into the night.
Next, on Halloween 1995, Goliath was thrown into their car by the Werefox, during a battle between it and the gargoyle leader. They sat seated in their car, dumbfounded, as the two combatants left.
Margot and Brendan had the misfortune to be captured by a group of terrorists some short time later, and were held as hostages in a standoff between the NYPD and those same terrorists. The pair were rescued by Goliath and the Trio, but they were too terrified by the gargoyles to be grateful.
Apparently, both Margot and Brendan were among those humans destroyed as stone by Demona during the "City Of Stone" crisis, but later facts prove it was not truly them.
Margot and Brendan took a walk through Belvedere Castle around noon on the day when Demona, MacBeth, and Coldstone faced Elisa there, and, some time later, were both highly amused by Tom the Guardian as he walked by in full medieval armor.
After that, Margot and Brendan went on a European vacation, hitting such famous locations as Loch Ness, where they took a cruise on the lake that was interrupted by damage incurred by the male Loch Ness Monster, and Paris, where Margot, temporarily by herself, toured the area around the Notre Dame Cathedral.
They were back in Manhattan by early summer 1996. Margot and Brendan were put to sleep by a spell cast by Oberon while Brendan was driving, but no significant harm came to them.
Margot and Brendan cast a strange look at Vinnie as he passed by, carrying a huge and heavy duffel bag that secretly contained the pie-shooting bazooka, "Mr. Carter."
Two nights before the Hunter's Moon, Margot and Brendan, at Brendan's insistence, took the subway to get to an unidentified destination. During the course of their trip, the couple, as well as the other passengers, were threatened by a gang. However, they were all saved by the Manhattan Clan, but they again reacted with xenophobia, and Margot yelled to police officers at the next stop about the 'monsters' on the train.
After the Hunter's Moon incident, Margot participated in a televised debate with pro-gargoyle supporter Lennox MacDuff, which soon degenerated into an argument.
In the Goliath Chronicles, Margot was chosen to represent the city of New York in the court case against Goliath. She was also present on the train transporting Angela and Bronx to an upstate facility to await trial for terrorism. She was surprised by the attack by the Quarrymen on that train, and the Manhattan clan's protecting the people on it from that assault. This changed Margot's opinion of the gargoyles, and she finally accepted them, as did the other people on the train.
Margot Yale is a normal human female of average build, and possessing no superhuman abilities or special combat skills. However, she is knowledgable in the field of law.
