Sora is the mate of the second-in-command of the Ishimura, Japan clan of gargoyles, Yama. In 1996, the Ishimura clan encountered the Avalon travelers, Goliath, Elisa Maza, Angela, and Bronx. The three gargoyles, as well as Sora and the other members of the Ishimura clan, were taken to a theme park based on gargoyles by their supposed ally Taro during the day. Sora expressed the opinion that the park would be a nice place to visit, but that she would rather not live there. She left the theme park along with the rest of the clan, and presumably is still in Ishimura as of the present.

Sora possesses all the normal abilities and traits of gargoyles, including wings that enable her to glide, claws, talons, a prehensile tail, and eyes that glow red when she is enraged, as well as strength far greater than that of the average human. During the day, she enters a regenerative "stone sleep," during which she turns into an organic stone-like substance and heals at a faster rate.
