Una is a member of a gargoyle clan that is primarily based in a mansion outside London, England. She, as well as her rookery siblings Griff and Leo, were assigned to operate the occult shop, In To The Mystic, in the Soho district of the city. She and Griff shared a mutual affection, and were involved with one another.
In 1940, during the Battle of Britain, Griff brought home a mysterious Scottish gargoyle named Goliath, and the pair went out to battle the Nazi forces bombing London. Una asked Goliath to protect Griff, as he was "very dear" to her. Goliath promised he would, but the two disappeared that night, and never came back. Una was understandably distraught over this, and she blamed Goliath for Griff’s death, although in actuality, she was using him as a scapegoat for her own guilt over not going with them.
Over the next 55 years, the two continued to operate the shop, and Una taught herself sorcery from the merchandise there. She became the mate of Leo.
By 1995, the Soho district was being plagued by a group of punks who targeted non-English persons. Una and Leo, however, refused to do anything about them, as they had become fixated only on the affairs of the store. When Goliath came to the shop with his fellow Avalon travelers, however, Una and Leo were shocked, and tried to see if Griff was with him. When he wasn’t, the two assumed that Goliath had survived when Griff hadn’t, and, after the travelers entered the shop to escape the notice of bystanders, Una used a spell to render them unconscious. Una and Leo chained Elisa Maza, Angela, and Bronx up in the cellar, and waited until Goliath had awakened, where they informed him of their intent- to torture him, as they had been tortured, by the terror of "not knowing." Goliath reacted by using the Phoenix Gate to travel back to 1940 to try to save Griff.
Una and Leo were surprised again, and they went down to the cellar to tell the three chained there that Goliath had abandoned them. Recognizing how Goliath had disappeared, Elisa informed them that he’d probably gone back in time to save Griff from his fate. Una denied it, saying that nothing could change what had happened to Griff, but Leo finally realized that they’d been blaming the wrong gargoyles for Griff’s death. He freed the other travelers, and told Una that they should have gone along with Goliath and Griff. Una broke down, and agreed, the truth she had buried within herself breaking through to the surface.
Goliath walked in the front door of the shop just then, and Una was about to apologize to Goliath when- Griff, transported from 1940 to the present, walked in behind him. Una and Leo were shocked yet again, and the three had a happy reunion. The Avalon travelers left, and with Griff’s return to them, the three began protecting the citizens of London once more.
According to Greg Weisman, Una is the leader of the London Clan.
Una possesses all the abilities and traits of gargoyles, including superhuman strength, wings that enable her to glide, claws and talons that can dig into solid steel, a prehensile tail, and eyes that glow red when she is enraged. She also possesses skills in sorcery, though the precise level of those skills is unknown.
