History:

Venus was a creation of Gen-U-Tech scientist Dr. Phobos using the DNA of Goliath and Elisa Maza. She was created in secret by Phobos so that neither Demona nor Xanatos could learn of her existence. This was because he intended Venus to be his personal bodyguard. She was also supposed to eliminate everything that the paranoid Phobos saw as a threat, namely Xanatos, Demona, and the Manhattan Clan.

Phobos did a poor job of hiding Venus, however, because both Demona and Xanatos learned of her existence at some point. When Elisa and the Manhattan Clan raided Gen-U-Tech Island, Venus was activated before her programming could be fully completed to protect Phobos. It was at that point Phobos named her Venus, due to her beauty.

She did follow part of her programming- she attacked Xanatos, forcing him to retreat from the artificial island. But she immediately saw Goliath as her mate (which is kind of sick, since she would genetically be Goliath and Elisa's daughter). As a result, Phobos could no longer control Venus because she felt more loyalty to her own people than to Phobos. This rebellion and threats from Demona caused Phobos to set off Gen-U-Tech Island's self-destruct sequence.

Venus helped the clan fight Demona, but when Demona threatened to petrify Goliath with her newly-acquired Medusa Device, Venus flew at her at high speed, and Demona petrified her. Her momentum knocked Demona off of the ledge she was on, and Venus's petrified body sunk to the bottom of the sea. Venus left her mark on both Elisa and Goliath, having had an effect on both of them in different ways. Goliath found himself attracted to this gargoyle that looked so much like Elisa, and Elisa felt jealousy towards Venus over Goliath, an emotion she was not proud to feel.

The tale of Venus was not yet over, however. Weeks later, an unnamed sorcerer used his power to reawaken Venus, for use in some upcoming conflict. The fate of Venus and the nature of this conflict were never revealed before the series ended, however.

Powers, Abilities, and Weaknesses:

Venus had all the abilities and features of gargoyles, including talons, fangs, and claws, as well as superhuman strength, a prehensile tail, and wings that enabled her to glide. It was not shown if she turned to stone during the day, though. It is unknown how her hybrid nature would react to the sun.
